Hey Guys/Girls, I play TSW 5 on playstation 5 & pro and when I want to change views I usually end up having to hammer the R3 button several times to get it to work, this was also the case in TSW 4. Does anybody else have this problem or have a solution? Thanks
It’s been a thing since TSW 3 and DTG is aware and their response every year is “we’re aware of this issue and passed the information to our dev team to bring a patch”. Obviously it’s still not the case, a broken promise as always. We’re condemned to keep hitting the R3 joystick like crazy…
I haven't been experiencing this thing in TSW3 It is when i Upgraded to TSW5 Is when i started experiencing it
I have, then it was more often on TSW4 and now it’s worse on TSW5. At this rate, we’ll probably won’t be able to select the external camera on TSW6.
Had the same issue some months ago. Stick drift was the problem. Didn't have issues with other games. But TSW seems really sensitive. You can test stick drift via PC or android app. My controller was sometimes very slightly out of center.That seemed enough for making problems with TSW. Sony replaced the controller, everything fine now. BTW I didn't play that much and no games that would stress the right stick that much. Stick drift occurred after 11 months and some days. At least within the warranty period, but I think the Dualsense should last longer.
Periodically I have to press more than once but it's not very often and not very severe for me on either PS4 and PS5.
Get a basic Bluetooth keyboard. Solves all of TSW's controller-centric problems and it costs next to nothing. After playing TSC on PC I could never go back to playing TSW on the PS5 with the controller only. Of course this doesn't mean that it's ok for DTG to leave problems unfixed. Its products should work as advertised and players shouldn't have to put up with major aspects of the game not functioning properly. But a keyboard is essential IMO particularly if you use the scenario planner and livery designer.

For cameras, number keys 2, 3 and 8 (8 being the free camera and having a greater distance than the others). You can also hold the shift key whilst moving the cameras to move the cam faster. Consoles don't have mouse functionality.
sometimes it can take a minute to work. Especially when travelling at higher speeds. You just have to be patient with it. the game has to render in all outer scenery not visible from the cab
Yes, but no but....! A member (vicarious) suggested I use a keyboard to get around the problem of having to hammer the R3 button and it works, the camera changes are instant, which tells me it is not a rendering problem at all, but more a bug or glitch DTG haven't bothered to fix. DTG usual responce is "it doesn't happen on our test consoles" I just wonder where can I get myself one of these test consoles, where nothing goes wrong on them, wasted my money buying a PS5 pro obviously should have bought a test console.
