Many people said that the Training Center is based off a real training center by Siemens, but holy moly, I never expected it was actually an almost 1:1 recreation of the real one! This is the Siemens Testing Center near Wildenrath, in Wegberg (hehe "Pathmountain" hehe), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. https://earth.google.com/web/@51.1150606,6.2181026,88.09207446a,4580.89342242d,35y,0h,0t,0r So considering the TSW Training Center is pretty realistic, it canonically takes place in Germany, with an upgrade and a few changes, since it still is not exactly 1:1 to the real real one. Can we agree on this?
Yes Adam (Lucazone) has said it was based on the Siemens Test track at Wildenrath. I am kinda hoping that we get an addition tot he training center for Steam Coaling stage and Watering, Turntable as well as a Fueling area for Diesels and some Orange clad personnel walking around as it could really do with it. Whilst the track layout is basically identical, the surround scenery obviously isn't (not many rugged snow-capped peaks in North Rhine-Westphalia) so I can understand why it isn't "officially" the real thing and could therefore technically be anywhere in the world
The TestTrak in Train Simulator is based on the same location but with differences and the limitations of when it was made. Personally I like it more but that's because I can use it to test new trains I get in TS. Since TSW doesn't have a proper scenario editor the route's use is limited. Personally when I look at the mountain I see it as Mount Fuji.
you can use the godmode mod to spawn all the trains you want in the training center, but only if you want though
There is even a hotel! Sternzeit!! https://www.google.co.jp/maps/@51.1...6007-ro-0-fo100!7i8192!8i4096?hl=en&entry=ttu
