Hello everyone it's your good friend TFT6439 and today I will be giving you the perfect guide to Trainspotting. So if your on Android (im not sure if its on the apple store) then you can find a really good app called "Trainspotter" and I will show photos here. So once you've finished adding all the trains you've seen in the past you should head to your local station when you feel like and don't forget to bring a camera in case you find something rare. So if your looking for trains then I use RealtimeTrains and OpenTimeTrains however OpenTimeTrains is a bit more complicated cuz you need to memorise the service headcode. Now speaking theoretically there's a service you think might have a speciall loco but RTT says "Pathed As Diesel Locomotive" then I recommend Rail Record's Live Train Times because occasionally I see people logging sightings so that's where it can be used to your advantage. If you have a youtube channel you can always post your Trainspotting adventures. So I think that is everything to know about Trainspotting. If this was helpful then don't forget to hit the like button or the helpful button.
I'm confused... This app is used to keep track of what you've seen? I don't know what the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd mean in the third photo. Somebody help me please. Oh wait I can go to the Play Store can't I? Let me do that real quick. EDIT: Hold on, are you seriously expected to see every single train in the UK? Is that even possible? Am I missing something here? Or am I speaking from a lack of trainspotting experience?
It helps keep track of everyone of your sightings in the UK. It'd be cool to see every train in the UK but i don't think that's possible.
I've been using this for about three years and highly recommend it. Not perfect but it's free and when I had technical issue it was resolved quickly. During lockdown I went back through my old spotters books and added in sightings going back to 1976.
It's a decent app. Just try not to turn on the disappear once seen feature thinking it's a glitch. I've been there before.
I never really got into the trainspotting thing but my brother did and he only gave up travelling around the country doing it once he had seen every train there was to see. To me, one Class 47 was very much the same as another Class 47, I just liked watching them occasionally. No way would I have travelled all the way to the other end of the country to wait on platforms for hours just to see a different Class 47 but people have different ways of enjoying themselves.
Yeah, I've been using this app for years, does the job pretty well, certainly much more convenient than the alternatives
Ah right ok. Also was this just one guy who made this app? Also Andrew and Jane have spotted a ridiculous amount of trains! Well done!
It's pretty regularly updated too, I see cranes are on there now which they weren't before, and the lists of shunters only seem to be getting longer. Railcars and Railbuses are a pretty new addition too.
For NJ Transit Routes try downloading the App and track the train. Have some NJ Transit train pictures Comet II-V 5244 MLV I-III
