    Hi railfans

I hope that this topic will help to improve the game so let's jump into it.

First of all, I think it's important to highlight that as railfans playing Train Sim World, we do not only enjoy driving trains. The driving experience is only half of the pleasure and I am pretty sure that Dovetail and some third party like Rivet game didn't get it at all. Going throught empty routes or lest frequented route isn't fun at all. We do all enjoy spotting trains. When jumping into a scenario or a timetable our first thoughs is to wonder which trains we're going to meet, will we come across a rare train ? We don't want to feel alone at all and unfortunately most (not all) of the routes we have now are empty. It hurts to see some iconic stations with only one train waiting for us... that should not happened.

To improve this, I think the roads should be updated with more static to repopulate the stations, depots and garages. What's been done is better, but clearly not enough, let's be honest.
Then perhaps we need more loco DLC and to implement each new addition in the previous routes as soon as possible to have more loaded and therefore more realistic timetables.

Finally, let's underline the progress that has been made in this direction in recent months. I understand the limitations of consoles, and a good alternative has been found: continue to create normal and extended timetables for each route.
What's more, when we choose to release empty routes like MML, let's be consistent and then offer locos to fill them. There's no point in releasing lots of empty routes.

That all for me and I can't wait to see your opinion about that.

They do have loco dlcs lined up for future release.

Using existing stock might not make sense in many cases since either it doesn't run there in real life or it's in the wrong livery which dtg might not have a license to. They could do fictional layers but that would be a dealbreaker for many players.

Freight lines here in America are a great opportunity for this - especially in yards, there is always a hodgepodge. Here's Cumberland south:

Worth bearing in mind that due to licensing, DTG and third parties are limited unless they have that specific license.

Otherwise, all liveries wouldn't be real (like IOW 2022) which would completely break immersion for the majority.

Also, sometimes it isn't possible to add everything, they do need to make money after all.

As far as the US is concerned, DTG now has licenses from all 4 of the big US railroads. They should be able to mix and match cars anywhere on a dlc like they do with containers.

Not to mention "legacy" ones like are represented in the Heritage packs. There are older predecessor and regional liveries all over the place here.
