Happy new year! I would like to suggest some things for TSW6 in the future More Country’s I personally want to see more country’s be added like Japan China Philippines more Canadian routes And Mongolia VR device Support For those who play TSW on VR, there should be something for VR support to help with controls and other VR like things like Special Hauls I would like to see TSW add special hauls so people can haul stuff like Military Vehicles, Wind turbines, and planes! Formation Designer I have noticed that you can’t load the rail cars in formation designer and I really want that, I also want maybe more vehicles like 200 General Daily Railcars Now I think we need some more railcars for manifest trains, it would be nice to add these 80 foot boxcar Steel coil cars Bigger tank cars Log bulkhead cars That big Autorack thingy More locomotives I personally want some more locomotives, so here are some suggestions ST75I ET44ACH SD40-3 CSX hydrogen locomotive C44-9WL (make is BCOL) CN-9 Draper Taper Hammerhead locomotive SD70MAC SD23T4 GP9 SD60 SD40e3 Loram Train Consist And a ES44DC Livery Designer So I found something that’s a small issue in livery designer, you can’t customize every vehicle. For example, you can’t customize the GP9MR CN GP38-2 Rib Sided Hopper I want these so I can make more railways in those vehicles And last but not least NY route system I’d be so amazed if we could have a route that stretched through NY from Selkirk to Buffalo and ending at Dewwit yard Syracuse. Thank you guys for viewing this, thing, and happy new years!
Special Huals already exist as gameplay packs made by Skyhook Games I believe. Theres one on the roadmap just now, Cargo Line Vol. 4 (Millitary).

We have UP (Heritage and standard UP livery versions) and BNSF SD70ACes in game, but not the new Tier 4 version. The SD70ACe-T4 (designated SD70AHs by UP and ST70AHs by CSX) is a new model from Progress Rail. The locos were not so reliable compared to older EMD power, and therefore, they aren't so popular. CSX sold their 10 units back to Progress Rail a few years ago. UP still rosters their 100 units. The remaining units are owned by PRLX (Progress Rail Leasing).
It should be when it releases, although Cargo Line Vol. - 1 Petroleum/ 2 Aggregates have already released with Cargo Line Vol. - 3 Intermodal/ 4 Millitary to be released. These are all UK add-ons made by Skyhook Games.
those things, definitely yes also RailJet 1 and 2nd gen, with properly advanced features (like properly done LZB and procedures for 1116), maybe even with Vectron/Vectron-cab Desiro ML 4746 and 4744 variants, CityJet livery, PZB and ETCS implemented right - with this you got your most ubiquitous EMU in all of Austria besides 4024 also a feature - shift manager/mode - you would set up a time period, like 2, 4, 6 or even 8hrs... and you could chain together lets say bringing a train from depot, driving a couple services on the route, maybe even freight, in a sequence like this: 10am - 10:30am - shunting/ECS to a certain station 10:35am - 11:35am - A to B passenger service 11:40am - 12:40pm - B to A passenger service 12:40pm - 1pm - "break"; riding as passenger or trainspotting... maybe being able to pick up a coffee as feature? 1pm - 4pm - local passenger services with more stops back and forth on the route 4pm - ... - coupling together coaches/putting together a train to take to train wash and depot... end of shift
Nice suggestion here, i would say more new country like italy and more underground routes whit highspeed too. This can be done on TSW5, i rest in the idea that we don't need TSW6 if we have to re download all stuffs again, for gen9 players like me on ps5 will take few days to do it, but for those who are still on gen8 maybe take months, like me that i have finished to download all things when i was on ps4 at November
I would definitely like to see the bugs begin to be fixed. Italy is a very good suggestion, although the Czech Republic would make me very happy. The new feature should be VR support. The whole simulation would take on a new dimension. I would like another expert locomotive, excellent Vectron. As for the new train, I would like a Twindexx that fits the MSB. For DLC MSB, I would like to modernize the timetable.
It would be nice if you could also create your own timetable for routes from the creator/scenario developer with corresponding arrival and departure times, and this would also be displayed in the EBuLa. Then you could drive without a HUD without any problems. (Preferably with AI traffic )
English pls but thanks to Google Translate, well, I agree, Ebula and similar things in the game would be a game-changer, which would finally allow for some really doable HUDless runs
I actually thought I had written this post in English. But the website was translated into German for me at the same time, maybe that's why there was a discrepancy ;-)
-Also, more classic US diesels (Baldwins, early GEs, Alcos, FMs, EMD 1st Gen and 2nd Gen), the WP Feather River Canyon: Oroville-Portola Route, China trains, and German V200, 232 "Ludmilla," and 218 -Also: More Steam Locos (N&W, PRR, SP, UP, ATSF, B&O, C&O, etc.) -Also: Continuous Welded Rail Trains -DM&IR Iron Ore Route w/ Yellowstones -SP Cab Forwards -Erie Triplex (also the Virginian version) -German Steam (44, 50, etc.) -US Narrow Gauge Routes: White Pass and Yukon, Durango & Silverton, Cumbres & Toltec -Cass Scenic RR -Grand Canyon RR -Other Tourist RRs -UP SD70M and SD59MX -UP Giant Diesels and Gas Turbines
Things that can be added into TSW 6 In train and station annoucements. Improve Guard/Couductor mode where they can do the annoucements through the pa and AI when the player is not playing this feature. More Tourist Railroads Steam Loco Revival.
Top 2 are my preferred. But re conductor mode, very important that it is added to more locos too. Like the 390 and 801. Would also like to see more core consistency. Thinking working lifts on all routes with lifts, moving escalators etc. i.e. not just adding some features to some routes, never to be seen again - or to only be seen sporadically.
I would absolutely love for steam locomotive content to be revived. Seriously, DTG needs to reconsider Steam train content, if they were to do American steam trains, then Union Pacific is the main railroad to start at since they have 4014 and 844.
Random events and (realistic) re routings certainly something I want to see. Fix dynamic weather so it works properly and incorporate the current God/environment mod to become part of the graphics options. Agree re Ebula for German stock, also have speed restrictions indicated on Hauptsignals apply from the actual signal, not where track speed reduces on the ground. More intermediate timing points akin to the working timetable. It’s faintly ridiculous to set off from Carlisle on the Shap route and the next timing point is your destination at Preston, eighty odd miles away. Have the distance indicator reflect the actual tack mileage to be driven not as the crow flies direct.
The EBuLa alone would make such a difference, that, maybe in combination to also making another DOSTO variant with high doors and an earlier generation cab car, would be able to silence the cries of the community for a whole year or so. Of course it would need to be retrofitted to every train in at least one iteration since TSW4. I could live with one proper BR 185.2 for example that substitiutes on all other 185.2 services, don't need to update the one that came with TSW2 routes. However trains that were only released once like the BR 642 or BR 612 [TSW2] could be rereleased on a Francion diesel network maybe or just as purchaseble single "Update-DLC" maybe. Since there would be actual work involved to implement that system, and maybe at the same time update older single-release stock to TOD4 lighting, 5 € per update pack might even be a reasonable price. Maybe throw in a new livery and fix long-known issues too that we haven't gotten because it would require substantial work on the trains and I'd gladly pay for that (if it's all about generating revenue).
Couple more from me… As previously mentioned more save game slots On PC at least an easier way to manage DLC. Shouldn’t have to tick and untick in Steam then manually delete the pak files. Should be controllable in game. Modify the AP system which is all over the place, with some routes like Bakerloo awarding a massive number of points but others don’t, creating a disproportionate picture of your favourite route and train. Do as TSC where each scenario or timetable run has a maximum of 1000 points that are divided as necessary among the various objectives.
The option of random Timetable events. Nothing too serious, maybe temporary loss of power, computer glitches requiring restart of the train, door interlock issues, signal failures, OHL/track/points defects, emergency cord pulls, slow running train ahead, temporary speed restrictions. Nothing that totally messes up the timetable and leaves you sitting at a red signal for an hour. 5-10 minute delays that mean you're trying to make up time and stuff that means you have to keep your eyes open on every run. Maybe even the occasional early termination or instruction from control to miss stops. Usually nothing happens, but you never know for sure.
Core Routes for TSW6 suggestion UK: Great Eastern Main Line U.S: Feather River Canyon (UP trains) German: Bahnstrecke Dusseldorf - Koln
I remember the old Train Driver 3 programme which ran on the PC with an Amiga Emulator. You could max out the “chaos” factor with signal checks and TSR’s such that the five and a bit hour run from Euston to Glasgow (the graphics were very basic) took nearly eight hours!
I would like to see support for multiple screens. For example, it would be nice to be able to see the map screen on a second monitor, while driving on the primary screen. The second monitor could also be used to show gradients, communications and ETA times. If you really want to push the envelope. What about an option to put the map overlay on top ot the appropriate google maps 'satellite' maps?
Another useful feature would be a keyboard short cut to a ‘report error’ feature. My suggestion is that when this shortcut is activated the game freezes. It generates a dump file with all the information that would be saved if you choose to save the game at that moment, including traces needed for developers to reproduce the error. A nice feature would be the ability to attach a screenshot with the option to mark a section of the screen, if the error is a visual one. This whole package should be uploaded to the support line. After the process is finished, it should be possible to ‘unfreeze’ the game and continue
In my opinion in TSW6 and so on, we need game engine optimizations. More on graphics API, Vulkan and/or DX12 (natively).
As i said in another tread, for me the only new big thing that would justify TSW6 is the full working ebula and maybe one new map for all routes, the stations, tracks and more are designed to be realistic like when driving but in the 2D map.
