    • Improved whistles (The 48305 is great but doesn’t seem that realistic) maybe add a combination of both improved and old whistles
    • Routes for each of the big fours
    • More railtour packs
    • A national collection pack(s) for example the Flying Scotsman or something like the Duchess of Sutherland
    • Routes and locomotives from around the world like the USA or Australia
    • The Standards pack for example, Standard 2’s, Standard 5’s and so on and so forth
    • Gradual steam releasing from the safety valves
    • Tank engines

    some of things I would like them to add to Steam Locomotives.
    Animate the Firemen to the ring the bell for US Steam Locos.
    Water overflowing from the tender when being filled with water.
    Scenarios where you help prepare and cold start the engines for service.

    • Coal on the shovel
    • A scenario where you are the fireman and the driver passed out so you have to take over (but only if DTG decides that we can play as a fireman)
    • More realistic information because it says that the 8f max speed is 43 mph instead of 60mph and the jubilee max speed is 90mph instead of 75mph
    • 8f railtours
    • A railtour bundle
    • An industrial route so a factory that has bought a locomotive and you have to do certain tasks like driving up and down for the materials from the factory
    • Routes from TSC to come to TSW like the riviera line in the 50’s

    For starters DTG should be providing official layers on to other routes.
    4F should have a timetable, scenarios and Journey mode on SoS.
    Same for the 4F and the other two steamers for WSR.
    By now we should have more than three LMS steam locos in the game. A GWR Hall and Pannier should be next up with something like Exeter to Kingswear as a stamping ground. The locos could then also get layered into WSR which would become far more interesting to operate with a full steam timetable than trundling along with overpowered diesels at 25 MPH.

    We also need further attention to core steam features which as a minimum need to be equal to default implementation in MSTS and TSC.

    However as with everything else at DTG, seems to have sunk into apathy - once the content is out there it’s left on the forgotten pile with little or no thought how to innovate or expand on the idea.

    They NEED to have a WSR steam gala because they have a diesel gala in the game

    Another element I’ve noticed missing especially on PFR, the firebox door should not be open passing through tunnels. This causes a severe risk of blowback from the fire into the cab severely injuring the footplate crew. Whether under AI or the pseudo manual control, the firebox door should be closed and if needs be the blower activated too.
