    For those who use TRM
Microsoft has discontinued the free basic key we used for their maps. As a result, we've retired Bing Maps from both the desktop app and the radar website. This affects both TSC and TSW versions.
Because of a Bing maps retirement issue there has been an update tv9.0.0.4 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vBq6GKkpUlz5H73yFkQFkod18mWKZg_B/view

^^ I do not see an update to 9.0.0.4.

It is dated 02 June 2025.

Version 9.1 seems to remove the features bit it is WIP, and due to be released in September.

Is there a way that google maps could be used with your own supplied api key much like what TSC does with overlay, the program would need to be updated to allow this functionality of course

    Thanks for the heads-up!
Just to clarify: there's no update required for the Bing Maps retirement. (Can't hurt though, the last update 9.0.0.4, fixes some issues )

Microsoft discontinued the free basic key we used, which is why Bing Map layers have been removed from both the desktop app and the radar website. The new Azure Maps offering unfortunately comes with a free tier that's far too limited for our use.

As an alternative, we’ve added Esri Satellite imagery to the radar website. (https://rentor.nl) Due to fair use restrictions, we can’t include it in the desktop app.

Bekns : I was actually thinking the same! BYOM: Bring Your Own Map. Both Google and Bing allow some free usage that should be more than enough for a single user. The idea is that every user with their own map key can plug it into the app and continue using their preferred satellite layer. It’s a feature I’ll need to build first though, so it’ll take a bit of time.

In the meantime, you can still enjoy the Esri layer from the website, which is, to my surprise, of superb quality.

Here’s how to use it from the app:
    1. Use the built-in Radar tab.
    2. Open the radar in your web browser — you can use your personal URL if you prefer not to see other players.
    3. Use the Live Browser, which shows both the community radar and your personal one.

Is the 9.0.0.4 linked to above any different to the 9.0.0.4 I downloaded direct from Been's site previously?

The download link above is the same.
However, I recommend always using the link in the Download section of our website or one provided by one of our official download partners.

yeah thanks Been, I did think it unusual that an update from you would be released without a change in the version number.
