There is a stream on Thursday for the Harlem Line, which makes me feel that the release of this route is imminent. Possibly Thursday March 17th?

There will possibly be more information on the Roadmap stream tomorrow night.

RM streams tend not to address upcoming releases, so I would wait til Thursday for relevant info
I agree it's likely to be next Thursday

  3. An unwritten rule with Dovetail releasing is that the first preview steam will happen 2 Thursdays before release, though this recently it has been the Thursday before release. Lets say Harlem Line gets released on the 24th of March. The first stream as confirmed happens on the 10th, then the second stream would happen on the 17th of that month, though as said recently the first preview has recently been happening a week before release, rather than 2. Here is another example, the first Boston Sprinter Preview was on the 5th of August, the route ended up releasing on 19th of August. Pretty much as soon as we have the date of the first preview it is easy to piece together the release date

I notice Adam isn't on this week's roadmap stream, is he on holiday? I'm always wary when Matt appears in these roadmap streams as I'm expecting some sort of bad news so he's summoned out to explain the details to us.

If it was really bad, Sam’d be on the stream.

I believe they're using Adam less as he's more focussed on dev and 3rd party stuff rather than straight up pres fixes, and also as he said in the last stream their work is a lot of the way done, with QA and bugfixing of the fixes being the main focus. There's only so many times he can say "We've done this already so need it pushed out"

Hopefully Matt can give some insight on other things that the main team and the remainder of the TSW crews are doing rather than it being yet another firefight of people wanting their specific issues fixed. Those sort of streams get boring after a while

Maybe its just that my glass is half full but perhaps Matt's on stream as they are adding a new route to the roadmap?

I think they're simply alternating Matt and Adam.

The Preservation Crew was established to bring the preserved collection routes up to par with TSW2. If, as we understand it, all their updates will be released by June, 2022, will there be a role for that unit beyond mid year?
(Corrected an appalling spelling mistake. Anyone spot it?) :D

Yes, because by then it will be time to start updating older TSW2 routes to 2022 standard. Proper PIS on SKA, for instance, and Rush Hour passengers.

Probably so because it seems they let lumped with the bugfixes of releases while the main team gets on with the next project.

Also, there's new features that haven't made it back to the other TSW2 routes (Rush Hour passenger levels (Introduced with Boston), wet platforms (Introduced with LGV then not seen until Cathcart) and Level Crossings (introduced in SEHS) for a few examples) - it's very much a rolling thing their job now.

As with each new route, new and improved features are added. Some work some dont, but Id imagine those which do work the PC will work on adding to older DLC. Thats my understanding anyway.

For example SPG still doesnt have the new containers included so that needs adding in the next pass, headlights is another area where we've seen improvements made on Dresden Chemnitz which could be added to older locos.

Then theres features which we've not yet had announced for this years yearly update which Matt alluded to will happen. Whatever that is will need to be backdated into existing DLC.

The PC are also assisting 3rd parties in building new routes so this will no doubt continue and become a larger part of their role as more and more 3rd parties come onboard.

In short I dont think Adam team needs to be concerned with not having anything to do!!!
