Lovely thing to do although I am wondering about the locomotive to wagon ratio...

Could be a local going to make a pickup, or they already dropped most of their cars off with no pickups.

I think Blacknred 81 is correct. The locomotives are four axle, which in today's usage are usually reserved for "local freights" (based out of yard to serve a local area's customers). Four axle locos are great for local service as they are high-horsepower and capable of quick acceleration. These local trains do not usually have many cars. They usually serve small rail-served business daily and provide interchange services to and from smaller rail lines. Union Pacific has some monster locals called "haulers" out in California that are just about the size of a regular freight train, and they usually have a trio of six-axle locomotives, which is rather unusual. Hope that helps! God bless.

I was being facetious, I know these things happen. Where I work, there is a daily working from Eastleigh to somewhere like Hoo Junction. Normally a 66 with a long train of engineering train or just light engine. I remember once it was fou 66s couples to two years wagons thundering last. Brought a little smile to my face seeing that.

Ha ha! No problem at all.

That is very interesting about your seeing a daily near your work. I love the sound of a 66, and I bet seeing four of them together was quite a sight. Thanks for sharing!

I remember when my brother was just as small, he liked to greet any train that saw him. That was the greatest happiness for him, especially that sound ... beautiful memories. Even recently I had to write an essay about train travel and of course I don't know much with regret and so I use cheap term paper writers always and I take advantage of the help of professionals.

I can only hope some NIMBY did NOT complain about excessive use of the horn and the CSX crew didn't get into trouble. Outstanding that they actually stopped the train for the boy and spoke to him too!
