I bought the Deluxe edition on the weekend prior to release, so only played the new routes for a few days until the legacy content was added on release day.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed at first, especially with the overall brightness, which seems way too high, making the colors a bit washed out. We definitely need a brightness or gamma slider. I like the new routes, don't get me wrong. Just need a few tweaks to make them more appealing.

I completely changed my thoughts when I started playing the older routes from TSW2, though. Overall performance seems much better. The game runs smoother and has much less stuttering, and overall brightness looks better than the new routes. It's a pleasure to play the older routes now.

Fortunately, I have about 20 routes from TSW2, so I have plenty of content to enjoy while I wait for new DLC.
There's also quite a few legacy routes and locos I'd love to have, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an Xbox sale soon.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with TSW3. The only major drawback so far is not having the SAVE function, but in contrast we have the Quick Resume, which was absent from TSW2, so a nice trade off. I hope the save function will still be implemented in a future update, though. I tend to distract easily, so I occasionally run a red signal and the quick resume won't solve that.
