Not a suggestion yet as I don't know how difficult it would be to implement but would time travel (visit and drive routes in different time periods) be feasible? I'm thinking towards probably TSW 10
That's funny, I like that. I might be dust in the wind by then or uhm, using a walker to get to my raildriver.
I read some discussions of what era a route should be situated so time travel would solve this. Lots of work to make lots of routes older or newer and a lot of trains still need produced however .
A time travel would mean that they would need to edit (and create) a lot of things in the route (trains, stations, signals, PIS boards, AI look ;-) and maybe even change the route parts between eras). I don't think that they have the time and ressources to ever invest in this idea. They have a lof of stuff to work at first before which does make more sense than that to improve the actual game experience. Since TSW is not a story-based game, I also think it isn't really necessary to implement time travels. But it would be great if DTG would focus a bit more about historic or posthistoric (60's, 70's or 80's) -themed DLCs in the future.
