Because it's a game, not an entirely accurate simulation of real life. Most routes have compromised timetables in order that they can work within the confines of the AI and signalling etc.
Theres an issue with the RB30 service in that its not achieveable to keep to the timetable. Personally Id rather see that fixed then speed up the faster services.
