Ok when stopped on a hill with 1.2 percent grade. I stopped to get a track warrant. How do you get moving again. Things I’ve tried .

feathering the throttle just below wheel slip
    Using sand
    Featuring the independent break
    Featuring the automatic break
    Notch 8 let it burn
Every notch from 1 to 8
Backing up to a lesser grade. 1.1 was the least I could go.
Double checking engines where in fact online and producing amps
    Checking for hand breaks
I spent 2 hours stuck in one spot trying to get it moving again. Can anyone think of something I didn’t try?

Make sure you have all of your locos setup for MU operations. Here’s the manual (it’s for TSW2020, but it still has the correct info) showing how to do this, see pages 37-39.

Only thing it doesn’t mention is after you’ve set them all up, if you have a helper pair at the rear then you need to turn on the Banking Comm in the front lead loco only and it’ll allow the rear pair to mimic your control input from the front pair.
If you do this you shouldn’t have any problem getting moving even if you were stuck on a 1.2% grade
