I have spawned on foot at Brighton. I spawned a 37/7 EPX add-on with a 387/2 as part of the package, ie it shows up on the spawn list because I own BML. The spawned consist moves fine. I then add another 37 EPX behind it, successfully move and couple to the back of the 387/2 so to have top and tail formation. All vehicles moved until the point which I coupled the rear loco, now with all brake levers released (loco brake) and train brake in shutdown on all cabs except leading, the consist doesn't move. Get to notch 2 and the wheels slip. Loco brake pipe gauge shows released. What am I missing here? Probably just in the nature of TSW but the brakes are VERY poor on the 37/7. Full service and loco brake on max doesn't slow down fast at all! (And according to TSW I've just driven 100 miles in the EPX class 37 despite only doing about 4. Presume this has added on the Tees valley steel 37 which I owned at one point but it still wants to charge me £19.99 to get it back on TSW 5 as apparently I no longer own that, not GWR which again I had before I upgraded).
I don't think you will get the brakes to sync because of the way the special ECU works when coupling. Both 37s will try and take over the brakes on the EMU. If you leave the rear loco's brakes on running then you will be able to drive and control the front loco and EMU brakes together and it should still stop ok and then vice versa for going in the other direction. Works very well actually and easy to stop with minimal brake application.
Thankyou Tom I wanted to do a test train but I couldn't find any network rail yellow MK1s in the costume shop (maybe I wasn't searching correctly). I would have done a custom consist with tnt 37s with a 387 but it doesn't let you choose a 387 in consist builder......? Only the class 390 LOL
