Did you know that you can now earn points and medals as a passenger? That's possible in Lucerne. But first things first... With every new route, I first travel along as a passenger to see the route. Usually after three minutes you will be asked if you want to give up the service. That's not the case on every track, not even here. For whatever reason... Ok, so I'll start as a pedestrian and get on the train of my choice. But this train just won't leave. Instead, another train departs from a different track. I restarted the scenario and wanted to switch to the platform with the train from before. But there was no train. But another train was about to leave. So I opened the door and got in. But again the train didn't start. Only when I closed the door did he finally drive off. Unfortunately he went off the map... After work then the next attempt. I drove an RE from Lucerne to Sursee. In the end, I returned to free play. I really just wanted to see the train station. But although I was now seated as a passenger, I received train driver instructions. I ignored them and the train became the AI. The RE became the S1 Gütsch (still double traction) and I got elements from the player mode displayed. So boarding, distances and even action points! Unlike the AI train before, it started with the door open, so I just managed to board from the platform. So the train went back in the opposite direction on its own, but it was as if I was driving it. Also as S1 instead of RE and also with false peak signals. But I wanted to see the route and went on as a passenger. Arriving in Lucerne, the AI ended its service and the points earned ended up in my account. Isn't that nice? I got a gold medal and 3518 AP for a ride as a passenger. I don't think that's what the inventor intended. So the AI in this DLC seems to have quite a life of its own and I'm not yet able to say how that can and will affect the driver service. But everything seems to have gotten really mixed up here. The mere fact that I, as a passenger, is treated like a driver shows that there was a serious lack of care here. That's all wrong in the front and the back! What do you actually test before you send something onto the rails and offer it for sale? Just when you think it couldn't get any worse, that's exactly what happens. Still - the train runs very well and the route is quite pretty.
