I'm having problems with some track sections losing their blue guide lines when in Network Edit Mode. A few times now this has meant having to delete considerable lengths of track and starting again to join on new ribbons to a known 'good position'. This morning I have been left with sections where the guide lines are actually detached and displaced from more recently placed tracks. Whatever I try I cannot see how to get rid of these blue lines which are still displaying the properties of tracks which have been deleted and no longer exist. Any thoughts on what I may have done wrong would be welcome. TBH I think maybe it’s just as well the Tracks and Signals masterclass is scheduled for this evening.
I've had the same issues before, but haven't had them in a while even if I don't know what fixed it. But (out of a gut feeling, without a guarantee for success) you could try these habits if you haven't already: Only delete or move/modify track while you are in network edit mode, and never select ribbon proxies from the actor list, only by clicking on them in the viewport.
Thanks fceschmidt . By deleting more ribbons in the immediate area I've just managed to remove all the rogue blue guidelines and things are working reasonably well for the moment. I'm also finding it very hard joining together tracks coming in from different directions without a sudden discontinuity, sometimes resulting in derailment. Hoping tonight's stream sheds new light on a few things.
