Tried to load a scenario of the Vienna-Sankt Pölten route and got the error "Tracks.bin not found" every time. How to solve the problem ?
Not knowing if you altered the scenarios in any way, but pressing F2 then Cancel will let you play the scenario. This message is triggered for example if there is an MD5 mismatch in career scenario files, but it can have other reasons too. Not owning the route, so can't tell you more.
Small update on the topic. It seems that the "Failed to load tracks.bin" error message is a generic one, not necessarily having to do with the tracks.bin file. I've just installed a physics upgrade mod for the F59 Coaster DLC. When starting a career scenario from the pack (Pacific Surfliner route), that message came up. Scenario plays normally using the F2+Cancel workaround. Conclusion: TS discovers a mismatch between the scenario's timings and the loco. I am now pretty sure that the engine's simulation.bin, which holds information on top speed and braking power, is taken into account by the dispatcher. It is used to calculate the timings based on the performance percentage set for each "Stop At/ Go Via/ Pick up Passengers" instruction. So don't be fooled by that message - it is just telling you that something has been modified and is not the same as when the scenario was created.
