    Hello!
Train driving with free roaming, the gears are crazy. When the train gets close to the switch, it switches and the train derails.
Can someone explain why the gears go crazy?

Seen on some routes in freeroam, it it most likely an issue in the route network that prevents the dispatcher from pathing you train, as it's not a common issue. I've seen routes that need custom markers for setting a path that seems obvious, but isn't. It could be something as small as two ribbons with a tiny gap in between.

It's most likely a content, not a game issue.

    The gear changes itself.

I think Totte means the switches. In Swedish, it is the same word for gear and switch (växel).

    Ok.
That happens a lot in Free Roam
I was coming down Beattock on WCML-N doing 100 mph and the points in to the loop changed at two signals out.
Full brake application to get the speed down - still doing 60+ over a 40.

Is it possible to fix the problem? How do you do it?

You would have to create a Standard Scenario. The points are then locked by the Dispatcher.
