Hi all Is just me or the most train horns in this game are quite bad or too quiet? Maybe beside of the US locos the rest seem to be somekind poor.... No hall (echo?) effects. I mean, train horn is basically badass loud and ive wathced lot of videos of locos used in the game and the are mostly loud and also more recognizable. Some ingame "horns" sounds like childs trumpet or similar A good sounding horn is for example the one from Class 20.
Yes your right some of the British train horns have a cool down aswell like the 313/314/31 etc so you can’t “horn spam”
Meanwhile tested lot of locos and it seems that the older content has this poor horns.. Would be nice if they will be reworked. Talent 2 or Class 37 for example... they sound really bad imo. Probably adding reverb (is this the correct word for that?) would be make it better than now.
