I'm really enjoying the scenario planner and "off the rails". However, sometimes it can be a bit time consuming. One idea I have, is that there could be the option in timetable mode to substitute a train or locomotive into any of the timetabled services. The user could choose if they want realism or "off the rails", and this way people could drive their favourite trains or locomotives on their preferred routes without having to make an entire scenario from scratch. Just an idea.
An off the rails timetable mode. I like that idea. An “Off the Rails” choice could be in the loco selection section of every timetable and after clicking it, a list of all your trains comes up. There could be a choice to randomise the AI, so you see all kinds of wrong trains passing you in the other direction as well. I might be going too far there, but it’s fun to think about.
That's a great idea...I just think it would mean we could do more driving and less planning/designing
