This one is what I have always wanted in TSW. This is already in Train Simulator, but it will be a great addition to TSW3. We can design our own routes. Making them very long, highly detailed, put any trains we want on here, speed limits under our own control, put in any biome or terrain, etc etc etc.

Never happening - it's already be explained it will never happen. Issues with ue4 and the multi console thing kinda ruins it.

Apparently Epic don’t like people mucking around with Unreal, so it’s never happening. Old news though, look up old threads before making a new one in future…

That's completely false. In fact Epic doesn't mind people mucking around with Unreal so much so that they provide the public with the source code to the Unreal Engine for free, and allow anyone to modify their engine to their will.

While others have distributed edited versions of Unreal, it is not known how much DTG has changed and therefore they might genuinely not be able to distribute it. However it is equally possible DTG just can't be bothered or, as I theorised in another thread of mine might be purposely preventing it from being released to keep control on TSW's third party development.

I imagine in TSW4 there might be Unreal Engine 5 and a route editor not sure how the limitations will change by then

Technically, this is achieved in TSW4 now with the PC Editor (Beta). Problem is that it's hard to get the knowledge to construct detailed routes on your own.

There also seem to be issues with the implementation which need to be fixed to provide a good capable environment to do so.

This is feasible now with the Route builder in TSW4. Only the Steam and Epic Games versions have access to it down the road if issues are fixed the Microsoft store PC version it comes for free for Xbox users because they share the same license to buy.
