Hello, I have been having a problem recently where on a FRESH install of TSC on steam, I can load the 32b version of the game no problem (with/without DLC, doesn't matter), however it will not load the 64b version at all. It lights up green on steam then after about 1s closed the program. I have been at this problem for a good number of weeks and have exhausted pretty much every thread that is out there. I have verified files in steam, cleared cache in game (32b), uninstalled/reinstalled more times than I can count (each time removing the RW folder completely and any reference to it throughout my PC). Logmate and crashdmps are useless as the game doesn't seem to fully load enough for it to then crash and produce a dmp. My PC is more than capable (i7-10700k, 3060ti, 32GB ram) and I have previously played the 64b with no issue for the past ~10 years on steam. I genuinely have no idea what is causing the crash specifically for the 64b game, and I have already submitted a ticket to DTG, but I'm awaiting a reponse. Hopefully someone here has some sort of inkling what could be causing this and can help. Many thanks
Which version of Railworks64.exe are you running? RailWorks64.exe or RailWorksDX12_64.exe? The "64b version" sounds like the Beta version that is flawed
Is it a desktop or a laptop? On my laptop after the recent update the 64bit version, defaulted back to the onboard graphics and I had to point it back at the GPU. The symptoms I had were exactly the same. It would either close after a couple of seconds or just hang with a black screen.
Hi! I have ver.79.0a. If you have the same version as me, then it can't be a problem with TSC. The error can be caused by a corrupt route. Have you downloaded the latest route recently that is crashing the game! Try deleting the route and testing.
