This is a lot of CPU and GPU overhead for very little payback... Even player trains wouldn't gain too much from having this, let alone AI ones
More a case of if every AI driver has moving and coordinated hands then there won't be much CPU power left to actually show the trains moving
It would be very cool, but it would completely bog up development time and processing power to get every single motion properly
THis will eat up 8th gen console GPU RAM on the other hand this should work for 9th generation consoles
Not sure if everyone saw it, but in the SoS trailer the fireman moves, so that's really an improvement!
After i saw it i guess they came up with some animation technique to get the hands moving. I would like to see this applied to all of the AI drivers in future route DLC's
In the steam train even if your a driver there will be an fireman(no AI). So u will as driver see the fireman moving
That's not the same as having drivers in trains coming the other way at 60mph having their hands in the right places... Don't forget the OP is talking about AI drivers, not player drivers
I know what you mean but I don't see why they need to unless you're going to stand in the driver's compartment of a train you're not driving and want to see "someone driving". Unfortunately this would need to be in operation almost the whole time so your computer (or console) would need to be making these things move even when you're not looking...
