With the game now in its second week of release we have our first Roadmap update.
Yay, looks good!
Nice to see the increase in formation options as well as Tees Valley getting some more fixes.
I note there is no mention of the reported ‘Ruhr Runner’ trophy failing to pop in HRR on Preserved Collection. This has been reported by several people.
Agree, especially on the first part.
But one has to wonder... why is Tees Valley in the next arrival section if there are as many as 4 fixes necessary for it further down the roadmap? Wouldn't it be better to fix it completely before release?
There will be quite a few things that have been reported that aren't on the list yet - please try to reminder the order of importance we're following:
1 - The game works for everyone
2 - Scenarios/services can be completed
3 - Achievements can be earned
While we still have things to achieve in the first two categories we won't focus on the third.
Great to see more bug fixes!
When can we expect patch realease?
Are patches going to be realeased every 2 weeks as well or is there another schedule?
Different tasks take different periods of time to complete.
A new route will stay in production for a long time, a fix might well zip through in no time at all.
No mention of issues with livery editor crashing the game for PS4 users...?
We'll be answering questions on this topic on today's stream.
I still see the Clinchfield still has an SD40-2 listed, instead of an SD40.......
Thanks for the update, really great method of communication.
Noticed that RRO: Hagen-Wuppertal has dropped back, it was due to be the next preserved collection update? But there’s a reason I assume?
When you fixed finally this stupid texture issues on preserved routes like Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr for the 422 and 425 or on Peninsula Corridor for the Baby bullet Loco
i mainly follow the roadmap for the new add ons; routes and loco. no big change. its expected.
Exactly. Once the route is ready, the why not wait a bit for bugfixes and deliver it bug free on day one?
Looking forward to try it anyway. Never got the time to properly drive in in TSW2020
It hasn't moved back. Its stayed in the 'in production' category. Think we just need to remeber that 'in production' means just that, its in production with no firm release date. Its only when something moves from 'in production' to 'upcoming' when you might get an idea of when it will show up, which I would take as about two game updates away.
The only thing that looks to have maybe slipped is the Isle of Wight
By the looks of it, I don't think that's a mistake. Comparing the two roadmaps the first just said the models of the locos (hence why some thinks it's a typo). Whereas this one specifically said CRR next to it (CRR F7 A&B). So it looks like there will be an SD40-2 remake for Clinchfield then.
Other than that, the roadmap looks the same as before (but with fixes and improvements in the list).
When can we expect the next game update to fix some of the bugs?
Really liking the roadmaps. Nice to have a feeling of openness between DTG and the community
Any chance though we could get the changes put in bold for what has changed from the last Roadmap? Would make it a bit easier to see what has been added then
no words about any game optimization. I hope that will come.
I wonder what 'Expansion of Bakerloo Line train formation options in the Scenario Designer' means as Bakerloo Line trains are pretty much fixed formation. I can understand the other routes that are getting it, for example East Coastway which could get 12 car 377s.
Cement Circle is still on there. Note my happiness. Note it!
(as long as TSW2020 is still included in this fix)
It actually looks good. No surprises and no dissapointment but something good to look forward to.
Thank you DTG for your work
Hi, I'm going to say the same like about last Roadmap. Please rethink the release of the BR 101 for SKA.
it does not run on that line at all. Don't get me wrong, the BR 101 is a wonderful loco and I would love to have it for TSW2.
But maybe try to find a better route for services with this train, Since I guess it will come with IC stock cars (eveything elso would make even less sense), I would recommend the Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr or Hauptstrecke München Augsburg for it, since both routes see quite a lot of IC services every day. I know I might be annoying with this, but I still hope you will look into this, since it would be more realistic and the BR 101 is still in planning, so you might have enough time still.
I second this!!!
Great update with GWE in plan. Before class 387 arrival for the GWR, we can repaint the class 377 into GWR and run it on GWE...! Also great if we can run it in 12 cars with the expansion of train formation options in scenario designer.
You won’t be able to paint the 377 as it’s a preserved train.
As someone else mentioned already, could you please highlight all changes and new additions in bold and/or another colour? It saves a lot of time reading through the list and comparing it to the last list. Thanks.
I was going to suggest something similar. Like bold what is new, and star what has moved up the line?
Cumberland Charge nowhere to be seen, and I still hope to be able to complete this scenario some day, either in TSW2020 or TSW2...
An up arrow if it’s progressed. A down arrow if it’s gone back a step (if ever anything does). A dash if it’s remained where it has and a cross if it’s being dropped/abandoned.
Green in colour if its a new entry.
DB BR 101 is not really suitable for SKA
I am 100% with Higgybaby90. You (DTG) are still in the planning phase where things can be changed. It's not like the 101 is already in production. So please listen to this community feedback and at least think about the option to make the 101 for HRR/HMA
You mean the DB BR 101
I hope, that the DB BR 423 From Munich-Augsburg Will have Good, sound like the TS2020 Train Fromm RWA
Are going to extend the Long Island Rail Road route in the future?
You have the Full DB License so Can make you please a livery Update for the Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr 422 S-Bahn as Update with the new NRW Livery specially for Console players?
Is the Metro North rail road coming in the future for the TSW 2?
Will the addition of the Ruhr-Sieg route also add new services to Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen and Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr? I like both routes but they feel so empty!
Roadmap still looking good!
One question, I would really like to get the Class 20 or Class 31 DLC to use in the scenario planner so will I have to buy Tees Valley line to then have the locos available to use or can I buy the DLC to use without having to spend money on TVL?
Feedback noted: we'll definitely highlight movers and changes in forthcoming roadmap updates.
I'm pretty sure that loco DLCs are tied to routes so you need to have the route to buy and use the 20 and the 31.
Rapid Transit from Leipzig to Dessau Need finally a 50% sale for Xbox before it’s preserved because I need it for the BR 182 after I have left PlayStation and lost everything
In a Q&A about SKA they said somethings about additional services it says something about it here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PTK5oOw59lrSwk3HF1cPqpn-vDyRg6Kn0WfHs0sbXUo/edit
Feedback no.2 noted : make the customers happy
When will LIRR & M3 be available for download to TSW2? you guys didnt mention when it will be released
There is no date yet.
Daft Question DTG Protagonist -
Leaving the Roadmap in this update we have five Add-Ons from the Preserved Collection, a new feature - the Driver Logbook - and a fix for those experiencing some installation difficulty on Xbox.
Does this mean they are due any day now in an update - or that they have been shelved for now? If an update is due, when?
