Will Bakerloo line have the new rush hour Passenger System?
Who cares! W-h-e-r-e i-s t-h-e 101
THE previous state
No, you need the Home Route in this case HRR so that a Loco AddOn appears on another route.
Okay so steam reappeared. But what about the 363 in the Bundesbahn blue-beige livery? It still just says DB livery.
Question for the stream, and apologies for repeating the question AGAIN, but please can you update on the PlayStation 4 > 5 save transfer.
Will the solution arrive alongside the release next week, or is it going to be further down the line?
need to know if I’m hyping myself to jump in to Boston Sprinter on release day or moderating my expectations!
Question 2; on the release cadence for the remaining two routes… how rapid are we talking? 1 week between releases or 2? Or are we thinking more than a month after the first drop until we get the full set?
Well, since the main focus of this roadmap seems to be the Peninsula Corridor and Oakville Subdivision, I'll just drop off some questions about them here:
- How will working railroad crossings be worked on for Oakville, considering it has a lot of crossings in the non-signalled industrial zone?
- Will sound be improved in any way?
- Will freight yards look more alive in Oakville with more rolling stock sitting around?
- Can we expect the Caltrain PIS to be different from the LIRR PIS?
Listing questions is hard. I guess I'm mostly just curious to hear how these routes will be updated.
Could I ask if the West Somerset Railway preservation update that is in next arrival will also mean Livery Designer ability for all the WSR stock? (If so does it also include the class 33 and class 52?)
question for stream
Will the lake/water part of the route on peninsula corridor be reinstated on console ?
Very good question. I think the missing water at the Bay Area is the only big issue in Peninsula Corridor on consoles.
rail driver support for preserved packs - can you give some inclination on which will come 1st please? Also is there any plans for the Arosalinie raildriver support to be fixed at all?
I think so
i think both bakerloo and Schnellfahrstrecke receive the passenger upgrade first of all current released routes
Any updates on the Br146 like for example sound improvement, LZB and updated destination boards?
Very glad to hear Xbox Series X will receive the PC HMA timetable
PC timetable for GWE and HMA on PS5 and Xbox Series X. This is a great improvement in and of itself - never mind all of the other goodies these consoles allow. Super excited for the core update and PS5 version to be released.
I would say one of them. Hope that the missing water as well as the strange textures in the cab ("glowing") and the strange sounds of the F-40 are corrected. That would be great.
Yes. I finally got an order in for a PS5 this morning after trying for weeks, so I’ll have it in time for the release. I’m glad the textures are better as well as all the other improvements but the download sizes will be bigger because of it. The full timetable for HMA in 4K at a high frame rate, with longer shadows and less scenery pop-in. Will it get any better than that? I’ve just got to buy a 4K TV now. Expensive business this, not much change out of £1000 for the whole setup. The new bathroom will have to wait a bit longer now. I mean, who really needs a toilet with a properly working flush anyway?
And three new routes too. Blimey, it’s going to be good.
I‘m very happy to hear you finally managed to get one
I was in the same boat a couple of months ago. I was using a basic PS4 with an old 720p TV before and recently upgraded to PS5 and 4k TV. The difference is staggering as you‘ll soon get to experience yourself Expensive, true enough, but worth it.
I'm glad WSR is getting more services on the timetable, I might give the route another go again. Also, this gives me hope in the future that ECW may one day get the missing Victoria-Eastbourne services added to the timetable.
Not sure how long I'm gonna last until something new is in progress. These roadmaps are already dull enough since the Rush Hour announcement.
I just assumed the skies would be updated at the same time. Were the skies specifically mentioned when they did it for RT and LIRR ? You may have a point though as GWE received it's overhaul by the preserved team and retained the old skybox
Really glad I finally got an order in for a Series X, mind you it has to get shipped to me via Sydney (!) so we'll see how that goes.
Full HMA and GWE timetables and London to Brighton, come at me
Good for you. No more of that 15fps malarkey, eh? And you'll really like the 4k. Enjoy!
I have a question about Rapid Transit, do the gates ever go up when there isn't a train in close proximity? It seems like they said the gates do work but I notice they always stay down when there isn't a train close by. How does this all work?
Unfortunately no answers to many questions from here
Crossing gates on RT are working, but they just close too early, and open too late. All crossings on TSW2 have this same issue.
Fantastic to see a list of options of TSW2 running on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Very informative and users can clearly see the benefits of upgrading to a new console.
Congratulations! I also managed to buy one today.
And what better way for us to inaugurate it than with the launch of RUSH HOUR
Other stock will be included but only the 150/2 is confirmed so far
Silly question , but was it clarified whether the Xbox series s will get these timetables ? I think it definitely has the power to do so
Still in testing. No confirmation either way.
It was mentioned by Matt yesterday that the new consoles only will have PC timetables.
The series s is a new console ?
Then yes it will get the PC timetable according to Matt.
If the preservation team already pulled out from working on the Rush hour update at the end of July and since we know that Riesa-Dresden was announced to come without one of the branch lines then I wonder why:
1. The preservation crew was not kept engaged in the development of Rush hour to help with the missing branch line?
2. The single route in the package of 3 that will come with less content than initially announced is not being placed last in line and use the remaining month(s) to deliver it as planned?
They said in the stream last night that the Series S has less memory than the current gen Xbox One X and so might struggle with the PC timetables. It’s still being tested and the S will only get them if it proves stable.
The Preservation Crew aren't route builders.
Nice one, well done. I can’t wait to see the difference it makes. I’m sure Mrs Stujoy is eager to play her games on it too but she’s not half as excited as I am and I think that means I get the first session
Thank you for your response.
If number 1 wasn't an option, why isn't Riesa-Dresden left last in line so that the missing bit can be added to it? Have you considered this?
I obviously don't know what the preservation team helped with and that is why I asked if keeping it involved would have allowed others to develop that missing bit of the route.
I really hope they sort out the fact that a lot of gold medals in both scenarios and timetable mode on Oakville are unattainable without a lot of pointless back and forthing.
There is still the question open what happend to the Bundesbahn blue-beige livery of the 363 for Dresden Riesa. It notes just says "DB livery". Can someone comment und correct that, as it wasn't mentioned in the last stream, please?
Because it won‘t make a difference. We can be pretty sure that the aim is to pump out the Rush Hour routes in the next couple of weeks as BRD is already in testing. Matt said that adding the branches would be months worth of work. Whatever time you‘d get by making BRD the last one won‘t be enough to add the branches.
This has probably been asked before, but why is this called a "Roadmap", and not a "Railmap"?
Missing a trick there!
To appease our American friends? (Railroads )
Nothing to do with Roads or Rails, in fact nothing to do with transportation at all.
" Roadmap" is just a word that references the future plan, program or direction of any project or enterprise from agriculture to zoology.
Of course as a play on words, "Railmap" is catchy.
As the summer ends while the big project is barely ready (instead of a planned big lunch now it's split), there have been cuts made in order to still fit it in the astronomical summer. We've already heard Sam saying that summer ends on September 23rd which is not wrong at all but as soon as arguments like this appear you know things have not gone as expected.
We all know that, but it's a great opportunity for playing with the words and putting a unique spin on it for the specific target audience. A really common marketing strategy.
Are the "distance field shadows" coming to the PC version as well? Longer distance shadows are one of my biggest wishes for TSW2.
Yes, they are.
Ooh what’s for lunch?!
