can you use logos in scenarions as you would in timetable mode?

 

so Looking forward to the scenario planner mode especially, how it’s going to be like, and how the fans are going to create amazing scenario with this.

More new way to make the game more alive especially depending on how many ai train will be allow to be on the route.

oes that mean they are in the work of a NJ Transit train and route? If that’s the case I am excited to see which route, hopefully it’s a good mile route and a full route from real world.

I really hope there will be a feature to activate/deactivate liveries (preferably a slider from 0 to 100% spawn probability) without needing to unsubscribe all the time. I think there will be a lot of interesting liveries, but I don't want all of them to be spawning all the time in timetable mode

 

I dont remember BNSF being part of the approved list when this was 1st announced, so that's a nice addition.

 

They said the list is not related to official routes and that they reached out to other companies as well.

That would be amazing to have, not only for creators club, but for the livery editor in general!!!

 

Give it some time as DTG will need to clarify with SNCF what is allowed and what isn't.

We only have one SNCF train anyway so not that big of a loss. If they had the older shape then you could create all sorts of great TGV goodness, but the Sud-est would look a bit odd on this stock.

 

In terms of Scenarios, can we do more than the current very limited editor allows, or will that be the subject of a future update?

 

I recall in one of the LGV streams he talked about how they made a lot of intense requests for small details on the TGV to be accurate before they approved it as well.

Really? IC/ICE Are just naming schemes & logos used by DB, no other companies are involved. So why wouldn’t it be allowed?

Not expected for both CSX and NS not wanting to be part of this (though surprised for Amtrak not joining either). Either way, should be fun.

 

Just have a question are Metropolitan Transit Authority New York State and the former East German Deutsche Reichsbahn logos and train paints allowed here or not?

CC will launch using the exact same Livery Designer and Scenario Editor we have right now. Development of LD/SE 2.0 has been put on hold until after CC provides DTG with more feedback about what the new versions should be like.

 

Thought so. A bit chicken and egg then really, the current scenario editor is not much more than a glorified free drive mode, we can’t even create our own consists. Personally without the better tools, I find the Creation Club to be something of a waste of time.

 

Why is standing „Süwex“ on the list? Do we‘ll get a Süwex train in the future?

I remember that the LIRR license was allowed the last time I heard on the stream. Did they forget to put this?

 

I’m surprised any operator has allowed their logo to be used. They’re extremely valuable when it comes to reputation.

Anyway, this is a good list but I have a few questions-

Aren’t Great Northern, Thameslink, Southern and Gatwick Express all part of GTR? So why does it say “Govia owned Gatwick Express and Thameslink” and “Go-Ahead owned Great Northern and Southern”?

What’s the difference between Network West Midlands and West Midlands Railway?

Does West Midlands Railway include LNWR?

Some trains by LNWR are still in the London Midland livery, so what about them? (Assuming LNWR trains are included)

 

Interested to see what all the talented people in the community will create with this. As a console player, finally being able to download alternative liveries and scenarios is a big win.

As was mentioned above, I hope there will be a way to limit how frequently liveries appear in timetable mode, without having to subscribe/unsubscribe each time. I also hope Scenario planner 2.0 gets moved back to active development as i think added functionality there combined with Creator's club could be transformative.

Weird not to see CSX and Norfolk Southern on the list. Hopefully more brands will be added over time...

CSX not being there is a shame. Some of my best liveries are for CSX and its predecessors

 

What’s the worst a user created livery on a train sim can do to a real brand? All train companies have had their liveries made by users of Train Simulator, Trainz and all the others and nothing bad has happened to any of the real train companies or their reputations because of it. It would be an interesting experiment if anybody wants to try and bring DB down with the use of their logo in a livery. I don’t think they could make anything that would affect DB in any negative way whatsoever. Reputations are safe.

 

I may be wrong but I have to believe that someone from Room 1984 within DTG will be keeping a close eye on submissions and will censor the ones that cross the line.

 

I think you’d be surprised what damage could be done. Companies aren’t fiercely protective of their identity for no reason.

 

What is supposed to happen there? They should be happy that their brand is in such games and is thus also shown to young people, to potentially make more of these people aware of rail travel again.

 

Speaking as a potential user I'm somewhat surprised that there doesn't seem to be any option to rate liveries or scenarios. If I missed it in the writeup then apologies.

 

Looks like the rating system will be indirectly tied into the subscription system, probably a ‘family friendly’ option.

 

Remeber The downvote button, yea people were abusing that to troll one another on the forums. I doubt we will get one

My question for CC is how will it mesh on PC with the Livery Manager system we use now?

 

I don’t see it as a problem. LM works “outside” the game program, shuffling liveries between an external storage folder and wherever TSW keeps active liveries.

The only issue I see has to do with human nature: people uploading liveries they didn’t create

 

Which begs the question, why aren't companies fiercely protective of their identity in TS1?
