PS5 streaming for PS Plus Premium members started a couple of days ago in Europe, while TSW4 isn't streamable TSW3 is, so I thought I would give it a go. And...... it doesn't work. I did think the initial 3 minute loading screen may take a little longer than usual, but after 40 minutes being hypnotised by the little spinning loading wheel, I gave up. Assuming someone, somewhere, Sony, DTG, whoever, tested the games before putting them on the service I'm going to be very charitable and suggest that those who have never purchased DLC may be able to get it to work, but for those with a full set of DLC the add-ons manager clearly wasn't designed with streaming in mind.
Here is a list of PS5 streaming compatible games. You'll notice that most of these games are top selling games. Sony has criteria (or cost) that are required for inclusion into this service. Top selling games or games that are part of their PS Plus service are included. TSW4 is in neither category. The version that is included is ONLY there because there is currently a TSW3 starter edition trial for PS Plus Premium members even though they can't buy the game on the store any longer. I expect that as soon as that is removed, there will be no streaming options for PS unless Dovetail and Sony reach an agreement for inclusion of TSW4 in PS Plus Extra, or as a game trial. I wouldn't expect the game trial version to include all your DLC streaming, but we'll see if and when that happens. Streaming won't improve frame rate, load times, or resolution vs native PS5 but it would mean you wouldn't need to store your large DLC collection locally which is a plus, and latency is less of a concern with this game than with most others.
Looks like they've updated and now TSW4 (Starter) is a trial and I don't see any option for me to stream it as an owner of TSW4.
