• Added new traction motor sound effects
• Updated PZB and LZB functionality
• Fixed issue where changing AFB would lock the traction lock
• Updated audio for AFB and safety systems
• Updated horn speed
• AFB can now be activated whilst the train is running
• Added functionality to driver’s screen so the B icon appears correctly when LZB has changed its isolation state
• Updated Rail Driver functionality
• The train brake should now set the dynamic brake as well
• Added Contact Signaller and Simple Radio functionality
• Emergency brake can now be triggered when the electric brake is cut-out
• Fixed a bug where the Cab 2 signal light indicator could disappear
• Increased high beam brightness

I have to be honest, I didn't think this would happen.
Other question: I have TSW2 as well obviously, steam did update TSW3 but only like 400mb or 250mb what it was. On the other hand I have a TSW2 update of 4.2GB. Is the TSW2 Update basically also my TSW3 update as well just because I have both installed simultaneously right now?

 

Same here - question is, are these the correct sounds now? Or just other sounds, but still not from the correct loco? Can anyone who has the DLC and updates say anything about that?

Certainly comes as a surprise. In my eyes there are things missing, though. I think the lights were wrong, the writing on the outside represented the BR147, AFB was always using full throttle?!

As I have only about 10min experience with this model, as I got is refunded right away, I am not certain if all of this is still the case, though… interested to hear reports from those who have it. Will not buy again, before that!

 

I have the soundmod installed in TSW2, so I can't tell. Guess when TSW3 gets all the DLCs we will see.

There is a typo in the Dresden-Chemnitz route patch notes I think, should it say 612 instead of 187?

 

So I have just tested the 187 in TSW2 with no mods enabled. Sound still seems exactly the same for me. AFB still applies full power as soon as you put in a little power. PZB indicator is still completely white. I'm kinda confused now. I mean I definitely did download a 4GB patch for TSW2. Does this individual update only roll out as soon as the 187 gets released for TSW3?

I believe at this time the updates are only in TSW3 - TSW 2 updates are at a date tbc pending testing.

Yesterday there was no update for addons only for the core game! Or i might be wrong...

 

Wait. But if those updates are only for the TSW3 version. Why'd I download a 4.2GB patch for TSW2 today and only like 250mb for TSW3? I mean ok then I won't judge quickly about the TSW2 version (I mean when everything gets released for TSW3 anyways I don't plan on touching TSW2 anymore anyways). But the TSW3 187 gets released next week. Which is why I am kinda confused why we get these patchnotes today, while theres a huge update for TSW2 as well.

Taking a look at patch notes it looks like the laughably light 2700t intermodal trains on Horse Shoe Curve haven’t been fixed? I will take a look today to confirm but it’s not mentioned in the list of fixes.

 

I'm also thinking the same. Give us at least 5000-6000 tons and i'll be happy.

 

It looks like the still haven't fixed the airhoses on the br112 as far I can see on the picture after making it brighter.

 

Rutger Luiten For me that's totally unnecessary! There are any other thing that has more priority!

 

It should be like a 5 minute fix too because modders on PC have fixed it by changing one mass value in the game files… but for console we are stuck with the wonky/broken weights until Skyhook looks at it officially.

 

Whole lotta fixes means a whole lotta hard work. Congrats to the teams!

One prominent bug I don't see here is the nonfunctional banking comm in Clinchfield. Is that in the pipeline or on the to-do list?

If I understood everything correctly, M7 and M3 on LIIR did not receive sound improvements. This is very frustrating.

 

Why is OSD receiving Rush Hour passengers, an increased amount of them, but the passenger train layer is not part of the update? All trainspotting the CN freight trains?

 

We’ll I’m speechless…

 

DTG JD all of these updates/improvements listed for the preserved routes are coming to the TSW2 versions right? If the the answer is no, will you kindly explain why not? Also now that TSW3 has released will testing for TSW2 begin or will we be waiting months on end before we get these updates too? I'm only asking because I don't want to pay £30+ for bug fixes and updates just yet as there is still alot for me to do in TSW2.

While I appreciate you can't get all the answers straight away for us it does feel since TSW3 was announced TSW2 owners who aren't moving to the "new" game (soon or never) are being kicked to one side and just being told "oh we'll update you on future roadmaps on what is going on with the preserved routes/bug fixes/etc".

 

Are we talking days or weeks?
This is a shame, of course, and without this extensive patch it makes little sense to play the game yet.

 

I appreciate your response JD, I just hope that we won't be left waiting months on end for these updates to come to TSW2.

Same for me, TSW 2 didn't update, just TSW 3 on my PS4

 

What happend to the Br146.2? It is in game on Kassel-Würzburg, but unusable anywhere else, for example it doesn't show up on Köln or Wuppertal route and it isn't in Scenario planer

 

The new lighting is a game changer

 

All the DLC I own are now available in TSW3 except the Class 31. When I go to the store page on Steam I cannot find it anywhere, is there a problem with it or is not available yet?

 

I still need to wait until the 20th of September, because I have the PlayStation version of TSW 3
