Game Update Train Sim World 5 Game Update - February 10th

Hello everyone!

The latest patch for TSW is now live, bringing with it a range of fixes and updates. Along with various optimisations to help reduce crashes, we have included several fixes to our latest TSW5 add-on, Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn, addressing the issues we discussed since the launch, as well as some key improvements raised by the community.

WCML Preston – Carlisle and Frankfurt Fulda have received their fair share of updates as well as fixes for various issues across core content and other add-ons (including the issue with New York Trenton Guard Mode locking up), so take a look at the highlights and full changelog below!


Patch Highlights

Core

• Fixed a crashing issue that occurred when uploading to Creators Club.
• Fixed a crashing issue on PS5 that occurred when uploading a screenshot to the Creators Club.

Frankfurt – Fulda

• Fixed the emergency brakes on the 766.2 so they now use the correct pressure.
• Fixed an issue with the BR 114 where it would not accelerate when loading a saved timetable.
• Fixed an issue with the reverser on the 'BR 146.2 DB' loco freezing when loading previous saves.

WCML Preston – Carlisle

• Turned off background/static AI layers to improve crashes on Gen 9 consoles.
• Added DMU and Freight timetables for Gen 8 consoles.
• Added extra Journey Mode including Freight and DMU services (Gen8, Gen9 and PC) and Shunting (Gen 9 and PC only).
  
• Fixed an issue at Preston Station that stops players climbing the stairs at Platform 1.
• Fixed an issue with custom liveries no working on Formation Designer.
• Added more passengers to Carlisle Station.

Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn

• Improved passenger behaviour across multiple stations, including adding more passengers.
• Added new virtual destinations to the station directory.
• Added missing platforms on the PIS at Kaiserslautern, Ludwigshafen and Mannheim.
• Updated the timetable with new AI services at Kaiserslautern, Neustadt and Mannheim, including tram traffic.
• Fixed an issue where the signal on approach to Neustadt Böbig incorrectly triggered PZB.
• Fixed an issue with passengers not boarding the train at Kaiserslautern.
• Fixed inaccurate speed signals at Neustadt.
• Fixed an issue where an angled post would block the camera at Schifferstadt.
• Fixed the drivers at the Rhine bridge crossing so they stop driving on the left side of the road.

New York Trenton

• Fixed an issue causing Guard Mode to lock up after closing the doors.

• Removed ‘Left Vehicle Unsafely’ penalty from the Dopplestock cab car.

WCML South

• Fixed Panto/VCB switch and indicator so that it illuminates yellow during Class 350 setup.

Frankfurt Fulda

• Fixed an issue where GNT would turn off after saving and reloading.
• Fixed an issue with the doors opening on the wrong side at stations during the 'Old Heroes' scenario.

DB BR 114

• Fixed the emergency brakes on the 766.2 so they now use the correct pressure.
• Fixed an issue where the PIS board would lose information upon loading a save when using the BR 114
• Fixed an issue with the BR 114 where it would not accelerate when loading a saved timetable.
• Fixed an issue where the BR 114’s SIFA causes an emergency brake when driving the cab car, even if the cab is deactivated.

DB 766.2

• Fixed an issue that caused the 766.2’s gangway to be accessible.

BR 146.2

• Fixed an issue with the reverser on the 'BR 146.2 DB' loco freezing when loading previous saves.
• Fixed an issue where the PIS board would lose information upon loading a save when using the BR 114.

Dosto

• Fixed an issue where the Dostos didn't display brackets correctly on the interior PIS.
• Fixed an issue where the PIS board would lose information upon loading a save when using the BR 114.

WCML Preston – Carlisle

• Added more passengers to Carlilse Station.
• Added more waiting areas to Lancaster Station.
• Added the missing OHLE wires on service 2P43.

• Updated glass material on the Mk3a to save memory.
• Improved rendering issues throughout the route, including the crossover at Upperby.

• Fixed an issue at Bare Lane Station where the station sign wasn't mounted onto lamp post.

Hi folks, we're still working to make sure this patch has landed correctly on all platforms following reports that PS5/Xbox players haven't yet received the update. Thank you for your patience, I will update this thread once we are able to get this live to you all.
