Each train is its own separate entity. So the old 111 and new 111 will be completely separate from each other

i think the santa fe c40-8w is the same one as csx one but numberboards are over the windows. the hose is very similar to csx one and the plow too.

The new London Overground screenshots look very good, shows how much life could be spend to a route with some love and effort. Same is for Mittenwaldbahn.
On the other hand you have Ludwigsbahn where you need another route for scenery (!) of trams. I like the idea of adding trams to cities where they meet the route, there are other routes where this would bring new life to routes. But why is there a need of a Scot route to have trams in Germany. But, and that's also part of that - we have one model here, that does not fit to the area, not in type, not in color. Little more effort could make this even better (that's like the Citaro Facelift (new in 2006) on the Left Rhine in the 1990s.
Santa Fe pack looks really good, but I'm not in US Freight and don't like Cajon Pass.

With regard to the trams, if we can have AI why not go a step further and make them driveable, so we don’t need to buy flawed CTS? Also this kind of goes against DTG’s own argument when people suggested cut down AI train models to populate routes like BCC and Cathcart in that nearly as much effort had to go into making a static or AI train that would bear inspection close up, as one you could actually drive.

It is meant to represent Thalys, I asked Joe once on the forum. Duplexes have never been to Cologne in regular service AFAIK.

That ICM koploper looks amazing. Specially the cockpit which almost look like a spaceship. I like the fact that the view is higher but also very wide cause of all the windows

Please change the lighting at Cardiff Central. In real life the lights have a very harsh yellow glow, anyone who's been to Central after 5pm knows this.

I don't mean to be cynical, but such a basic detail not being included may show how much research (or rather lack thereof) has gone into this route.

An AI tram is literally just a liveried box. A working tram you have to model the inside, the cab and then set up all the physics and scripting. You go from a couple of hours creating an AI model to several weeks, into months for a driveable model.

That said why can't DTG import some tram models from CTS.?

Literally unplayable routes until these are fixed. /s

Anyway - expected a roadmap like this, after the season of reveals. Just one new announcement with out any detail seems about right: there is a huge pipeline of things to deliver that were teased for ages now.
    • Good updates on all the routes, excited to drive on those. As someone who, you know, doesn't inspect the detailing on seats or the hue of lights on a building, because I am busy driving trains. Any new place in the world I can visit - I am happy to. Love the Koploper, too!
    • Happy to see Thomas will be out sooner rather than later, I'm sick of constant posts regarding this DLC.
    • High hopes for the 158 timetable, I might pick it up then, as I have withheld for now.
    • US loco seems 'meh', but it's my comment about the loco, not the DLC. It's similar to other trains I already have, so there is limited excitement.
    • Disappointed that Tadami is likely to have an anniversary of its announcement soon. I appreciate a shorter time to market, and I hope I won't need to wait for years on another JP route.
    • Speaking of announcement anniversaries - come on, people the Peak Forest pack was announced in February 2024. If it's taking so long my expectations are growing, and they probably shouldn't.

Cts is not their product. They are only publishers

Are you willing to pay double the price and wait another year to make trams drivable? They require months of work to make it up to standard and they need licensing and access. Prices would have to double and dev time would be much longer. It's not a simple 5 minute job so they can't just make them fully accessible driveable and simulated

And once again what special insight do you have into this process? The physics and sounds are obviously in place and I wouldn’t be surprised if there are animated cabs already.

DTG: Thanks for the new Roadmap.

There are several news and details about new DLCs coming.

    But I noticed something "strange"...
There were no news at all, about Great Western Express route update!
    I looking forward about it.

Oh I know, but I had to back off on my response as last time I called him out got a moderator warning, so next time probably a week in the naughty corner or off to see the headmaster for the strap!

But you know how much they are in the process? It is still months of work to get it to a drivable state and to actually create the real thing. If they just used the generic asset, you would still complain it's not realistic. Physics doesn't exist because it's ai only. There is no simulation elements at all. So are you willing to spend double the amount of money?

Despite searching - probably in the wrong place - I still cannot find information regarding Rail Driver compatibility with TSW5. I use Rail Driver every time, but find that I am now opening routes only in TSW4 and below where the controller can be relied upon to work properly. When will a fix ne available for TSW5, because until that day I cannot buy any new routes or locos designed for TSW5 as I know that driving them will be an exercise in total frustration. It was made to work perfectly in TSW4........

Certain irony! UK trains have reduced if not removed entirely the requirement for yellow front ends of traction units despite at one time being pretty much the only country to mandate it.

They only changed it after a collision with a tractor on an unguarded level crossing. The then newly ordered SNGs were yellow from the start, the existing ones were repainted.

In the meantime, spotters were of course busy tracking down the remaining blue ones :)

Does the Santa Fe gameplay pack include new engine sounds for the locomotives?

Also how come there is no news about the first patch for WCML Preston - Carlisle? According to Benedict in the TSC Discord server, he says it has been submitted to DTG for testing and publishing.

What else could we see for updates to routes like Cane Creek and Horseshoe besides updated track shadows? Could we see some heavy scenery updates and TOD4 lighting? Those routes are in need of a dire refresh..
