I was thinking, to appeal new players and satisfy the current ones, DTG could make a free roam, arcade style Train game, where you can go where ever you want in the world, with any locomotive you want, provided every locomotive in the world is available. You wouldn't have to worry about speed limits, or derailing (could be turned off in settings). You can do services, or just plainly operate trains on endless railroads for as long as your heart desires. Also, like cars, you can race against other locomotives and win races to earn money to upgrade your locomotives (engine power, increased traction, bigger turbos if installed, and weight reduction). It might sound childish to some, but I like the idea. What are all of your thoughts?
That is a completely different game altogether, with completely different goals and audiences. Also, why a poll?
This suggestion, while nice, has already been created by DTG. All of this is possible in Train Sim World using free roam. Have I misunderstood your suggestion?
not completely out of place, but I would modify it - you know Transport Fever? I would just add a feature into the game where you would be able to drive the trains on routes you create on the route not just passive observing
That's a totally different game. That would be "TSW unleashed" or something. Horizon is a spin off from a racing simulator.
I am amused every time there's a "Solve this problem by fully researching, developing and publishing this wholly different game!" thread.
