Is it too early to start the speculations and chat regarding TSW6? Knowing how predicable Dovetail is, I'd say not! So let's talk about the next Train sim world (after 5) Thing's I'd personally like to see Main UK Route something to do with Cross-County. Route in China (I Don't think we currently do have any) More simplified and easier way to continue the next train tameable for the train you just finished on, Station Staff Ability to plan your day, (example: You set out which timetable trains you will do, when your breaks will be and at which stations etc). Also the ability to get tired to breaks are REQUIRED Like Train conductor is getting added, add the ability to be a Train Dispatcher, blow a whistle and dispatch trains from certain stations! (You can also help lower ramps for wheelchair users) I Mostly play UK Routes, with the occasional other country route, so most of my suggestions are UK Based. Lets Chat away!!
7. More realistic passengers Depending on the route and time of day (College students, or even groups of football fans on Saturdays etc) 8. Visible British transport police (or railway security staff) that are seen at stations and randomly get on your train 7. At the end of a timetable service you go through each carriage and make sure everybody actually gets off and picks up any rubbish ready for the next service.
Direct input support. I can play dark souls with my HOTAS if i wanted to and use my HOTAS with a silly little fishing game made by a tiny studio. Or use Direct input supported controllers with basically every other sim gene on the market, i could drive racing games with my HOTAS and play DCS world with my wheel and pedals. Unreal Engine already has direct input support so its not like they have to start from scratch. maybe after 15 years of TS and now 6 or 7 of TSW DTG will finally implement a 30 year old controller standard.
Good luck with that at 11pm on a Friday night. You might get some unexpected time off work, after a lovely ride in an ambulance.
Even if some people think it is too early when you actually think of the amount of work which goes into new games, Research, Production etc then surly getting an idea of what people would like is only a good thing. Times Dovetail time!
Because isn’t that what happens to trains (Or supposed to) at the end of routes? In my opinion, it is a simulation game and there is always more than just driving trains which is part of the whole experience.
They need to sort out the fact that, as it is in TSW4, most of the time passengers don't disappear at the end of journeys anyway - I did an ECS from Manchester Piccadilly to the nearby sidings, annoyingly, with a fully loaded train....
Still have to wait to see how long it takes TSW5 to boot up on PS5 but I'm gonna put loading times already on the list of needs to be fixed ASAP
Having used conductor mode a couple of times now I feel there is some improvements which could be made 1. Blow Whistle before you close doors 2. Help wheelchair users on and off the train 3. be able to do training announcements while in conducted mode 4. be able to see how far you are from the next station with potentially an indication of which side the doors will be opening
If DTG still exists in the future, I hope to see more realistic simulations. Perhaps this will be possible when we enter level one civilization?
I honestly think passenger announcements and live platform announcements should happen in game it will really enhance the level of gameplay
Not really though considering it’s only 12 months away and obviously it takes a long time to research plan and make the content for a new game! although I would be interested to know when they decided to make TSW5, and how long that took internally.
Features I like to in Train Sim World in the future In board train and station annoucments AI Conductor or Guard when the player is not using the Conductor mode. Bring back Steam Loco with new and improved steam loco simulation physics adding Tourist railroad route dlc
Yes deffo want to see In board train and station annoucments AI Conductor or Guard when the player is not using the Conductor mode.

The Southeastern expansion won't happen, it'll be a separate route if they ever revisit the area. GWE also won't be extended at all.
There are still too many types of German (and European in general) freight wagons missing. It is incredible how insensitive DTG is to this.
Features: -Multiplayer (?) -Auto Fireman for steam locos Routes: -Longer routes (100 mi+) -Route extensions! -Anything with BNSF, ATSF, UP, SP, WP (basically, if a route was owned by a railroad that merged with UP or BNSF, I want it!) -Heritage and tourist routes (Ffestiniog, Grand Canyon RR, etc.) Locos: -BR Class 55 Deltic -GE ET44C4/ET44AC -CSX ES44AH (including Conrail unit) and NS SD70ACe Heritage Units (also Conrail ES44AC and TAG AC44C6M) -EMD SD70ACe-T4 -GE C44-9W/BNSF AC44C4M Rebuild -EMD GP60/M/B -GE AC6000CW -UP Giant Diesels and Gas Turbines -UP Big Boys, Challengers, FEFs, and 4-12-2s -ATSF 4-8-4s #3751 and #2926 -SP Cab Forwards -SP #4449 GS-4 -More steam locos (British, US, German, etc.) -Geared steam locos (Shays, Heislers, Climaxes) -More British modern heavy freight power (56s, 58s, 60s, etc.) -DB-BR Class 232 "Ludmilla" -PRR GG1 and E44(a) electrics -Amtrak Avelia Liberty -Amtrak ALC-42 Chargers (and other Siemens Chargers too) New licenses needed: -Conrail -Chicago Metra -Australian RRs (especially Western Australian iron ore trains) -Eurostar
Here are also some other improvements that I want to come to TSW6 Realistic AI Passenger Behavior Realistic Railsinging sounds from trains Realistic, Detailed Dynamic Weather Realistic Sound effects for the Class 380 Realistic Sound effects on the class 390 Correct Livery on the class 350 Realistic Ruins in some stations on the bakerloo line & on the trains More AI Layers at Lichfield Trent Valley and Birmingham New Street on the Birmingham Cross City line
The dynamic weather can be realistic when it wants to be (a few weeks ago I had the perfect transition into a thunderstorm). It unfortunately doesn't work all the time. As for the 350 livery, unless LNWR reverse their decision (and its entirely up to them), then we won't see it at all.
Honestly I couldn’t really care about new features and I’m certainly not one for using things like route hopper, or livery/scenario planner. I just want them to fix the bugs in the game! Too many times you are on a completely empty train or arrive at a totally empty station, there were other times where passengers do not get off the train at the end of that service, and you drive back to the depot with passengers on which is completely unrealistic. I’m literally on a route now that departed London Euston, there’s not one person on this train and there’s absolutely nobody one doing around the station! FIX THESE BUGS!! This is the main reason I don’t purchase many of the routes, because i see Dovetail A perfectly happy to release these games & DLC We’re very noticeable bugs.
I think some of these ideas are great! However what I would love to see and what Matt has also said in a recent livestream (I think it was Cardiff City Network preview stream) about introducing an AI guard to buzz back and do the doors as seen on Midland Mainline. As standard on all routes. This is a great feature for realism. And not to difficult to implement as we have seen it already. really like to see and what Matt
I believe there were multiple suggestion to doing sth like shift manager ... I sometimes do stuff like that, like on WCML I would do 710 to Euston, then go to (forgot station) to do 1972 stock run, then ride as passenger to Euston, do 350 run to MK, then back on Pendolino... took a couple hrs ... or did some back and forth runs on San Bernardino and Antelope
