yep, did that last night between two work days lol and of all the routes I had chosen... Peninsula Corridor and Baby Bullet ... since AVL is kinda broken atm (F125 alerter doesnt seem to work and Rotem Cab Car has inactive headlights and alerter also doesnt have sound or anything), I had chosen... this... where you almost have to cold start the thing ... but it was kinda enjoyable? loco is nice, alerter works, brakes and all is neat, scenery looks old but ok, a peaceful run at decent speeds all in all, experience recommended by 0/10 cardiologists out there and by 10/10 by energy drink manufacturers
Vienna also used to be like that until they completed their new shiny Hauptbahnhof (celebrating 10 years since opening this year)... they still have their former termini and they still serve certain lines and such, but the Hbf serves both S-Bahn and the rest, with the above level being also a through station... plus they are all interconnected now also I guess London is like that as a result of the past... Vienna used to be like that cos it was the capital and central point of a big empire, so usually people went either there or it was the starting point to elsewhere, so various stations served as focal points for different parts of the empire... and I guess London has this as result of similar stuff... maybe one day they will eventually have to construct one - I would assume it could absorb St.Pancras and Euston, as they are quite close and both serve/will serve as focal points for HS1/HS2 one can dream lol
