I know what people are going to say , "this should be in off topic" but after the very recent spam bot dibarcel I thought this thread should be made on the train sim world discussion where we can post snapshots of spam bot users, threads posts etc so it can be easier for DTG to get rid of them instead of them having to search through all the posts. So as mentioned the purpose of this thread is just to write down any user name or thread, post etc that is either spam, scam, rude, racist, or is from a hacked account so the issue can be fixed.

Hey - we appreciate the idea here, but the better option is to use the 'report' function on anyone you see spamming. We'll be able to act more quickly if you do that.

I was doing that just now, but having reported one post, I was told I had to wait (x) seconds before reporting another post as spam.

It’s not that big an issue is it? It’s barely an inconvenience to just click ‘ignore’ on the spammers profile and its all gone.

Then other people continue to be subjected to it. And not everyone is savvy enough to spot the bots that copy-paste people's posts but sneak in malicious links.

What do you mean malicious links? I got myself several degrees from top rated universities from this forum last night. My CV is ultra perfect now and I have the papers to back it up :D

By forum standards it's not all that bad! At least it's kind of phonetic.

Moving to 'Off Topic', as the conversation has certainly veered.

Worth bearing in mind as well that we want the forum to be a friendly, welcoming place - we all know what OP was saying, so picking the bones out of spelling isn't necessary.

Perhaps it should be reported if they are trying to use this for the wrong purpose like spam
