Honestly I think a lot of people would enjoy having Train simulator 2022 for consuls
Dovetail will make more money and we would be able to enjoy more routes

This won't happen. Tsc is a pc exclusive so that won't work on consoles. I don't think the game engine itself works on consoles either. Even if they could there's over 600 dlc for tsc. Imagine rebuilding all that just for console players on a different game engine. That would take decades and nothing new can be made. Also there's the risk that things could break and make the game unplayable.

The engine is almost a decade old or even more as it was made by Kuju and TSW is supposed to be its successor so it’s pointless trying to port TSC onto consoles and I highly doubt it’ll be compatible

Well there needs to perhaps be an exchange of concepts between the two. TSC would benefit from the ability to compile a comprehensive timetable rather than the usual handful of scenarios. Whereas TSW needs a better scenario and timetable editor for players to make their own. We also need the longer routes and global variety that TSC enjoys.

Problem is I don't think TSC can support a full on timetable, it's hard enough trying to get an AI train to behave properly in a normal scenario, not to mention you can't get them to shunt cars properly without derailing themselves.

I'm sure there's loads of demand for a diplomat-friendly version of Train Simulator.
Man, can you at least learn to spell basic words before trying to do business suggestions?

TSC is slowly dying out now anyway. Its not that great graphically, you can't go and explore or get out the loco, you can't even ride as a passenger.
Would be a massive step back for consoles

Wow so many sarcastic comments over one spelling mistake.

TSC was never designed for consoles and runs on a engine which is also never intended consoles.

First TS (then called Railworks) was in 2009 and this engine was even before development started (how much it could take 1-2 years? Maybe 3? 4?)

Look at TSW2 and TSW3. TSW3 has made TSW more TS-like. (Menu design; Training Center, which is TSW's TS Academy)

Aswell as what everybody has said above, what really is the point of have TS when we have TSW3? TSW3 is a much better game visually.

I agree. TSW focused on quality, not quantity. TSC focused on Quantity ,not Quality.

Funny, if you said that in the TSC side of the forum, you would hear the opposite...

It's cuz of the route builder and consist editor that tsw doesn't have. The version is tsw which has a livery designer and scenario planner is nothing like tscs version. Tsc also has more variety. You got more steam routes with manual firing which tsw doesn't have yet, japanese routes, chinese routes, older versions of some routes in tsw, austrian, etc. You can also buy a lot of high quality add-ons, some being study level almost, created by 3rd parties so definitely another plus. Even though it looks visually dated and there's no like actual physics engine, etc, it's still enjoyed by many

I like both but must admit, despite extending my TSC collection extensively this year, including some cracking routes such as Berlin S-Bahn, Konstanz to Hausach, Karawankenbahn and many more or some of the Bossman/Victory/Caledonian steam locos, I still find myself drawn back into TSW. One main reason for that - the full day timetable (along with scenarios and Journey mode) compared to the handful of scenarios most TSC routes ship with. In addition as alluded to above, the lack of interactivity such as not even being able to open doors or cab windows on much TSC loco or multiple units let alone walk around in the environment.

I just wish DTG would gear up and start getting more of the TSC content rebuilt into TSW.
