Dovetail Games Train Simulator Classic – Core Patch Update 3rd February

Hello everyone,

We have an update on the core issue following the release of Train Simulator Classic 2025 at the end of October. See our previous status messaging in November 2025.

Thank you for your extended patience with us as we investigated the issue, which took longer than expected. We apologise for the inconvenience this caused, and we're grateful for the feedback shared from the community to help us resolve the issue.

After testing, updating the game, and working with affected parties, we’re now releasing a patch for the impacted add-ons, and you should see your game update in the next 24 hours.

To confirm, you should no longer experience crashing when loading services/scenarios from the following add-ons:

• Stevens Pass
• Springfield Line
• Smokebox – UP FEF-3, UP4000, UP3900
• Just Trains – LNER V2 + LNER Teak, South-West China High Speed, Southwestern Expressways, Common Library, Scenario Tools
• Montana Hi Line
• ÖBB 1144 & CityShuttle Wiesel
• Hbis-tt Wagon Pack
• DTG – Class 142 & Long Island Rail Road
• Im Köblitzer Bergland Route
• Midland Line
• Drautalbahn: Klagenfurt - Spittal Millstättersee Route
• Lake Constance Scenario Pack

The update will download automatically for owners when it becomes available. Players should allow at least 24 hours after restarting Steam for the update to appear and before contacting Customer Support.
