Hi Jamie. The 15th Anniversary Scenario Pack, what are the details about it, will it be available to us owners who own everything in the Deluxe Pack, as well as own about 90% of the Subscription DLC's?
Any idea on when the big download will happen, I had a small one this morning that was 41mb in size and took less than 2 minutes to update.
The scenario pack will be available to purchase at a later date we will let you know when it is, has 15 scenarios for DB 411, GG1 and A2 Blue Peter.
When it is released on its own, will it include the three trains (I doubt there'd be many lost sales, all of them are pretty old) or will you need them separately, or will there be a 'complete my collection' bundle for it?
I noticed now that Train Simulator Classic 2024's system requirements read "32- or 64-bit Windows 7 Service Pack 1, 8.1 or 10 Required (Other OS versions and types are not supported)" At this stage not officially supporting Windows 11 seems problematic and there should be commitment to ensuring that Windows 11 is fully supported given that Windows 10 will required payed updates at the end of next year. It's not helpful to say that you can try to run TSC2024 on Windows 11, and that if you have any issues (Other OS versions and types are not supported). Can you even buy a PC Windows Windows 10 anymore? Is there a future for Train Simulator Classic? or will it officially be discontinued when Steam stow providing a client for Windows 10? Given how much some have spent on DLC I think it's important to know what the future holds, and if you will be able to play TSC in the future completely offline if development ceases as it will be a shame to loose so much of the content that has been produced over the years.
Even if it isn't listed, TS does support Windows 11. Even if it wasn't, Windows 10 and 11 are pretty much identical anyway, and developers will still continue to make driver updates and other software for W10 long after Microsoft discontinues it.
DTG Jamie - If we as loyal DTG users have already bought everything there is in the Deluxe Edition (own all of the routes being sold) why not provide us with the 15 new scenarios as a download or offer us to purchase these as a singular pack? Respectfully
We are looking at releasing the scenario pack separately, when we have more news will let you all know.
Pedantic I know, but it's 2011-12-09. Basically a crossover DLC between Horseshoe Curve (2011-09-23) and Northeast Corridor (2011-08-25). I like the idea of bringing some historic scenarios. I expect some updates since the locos on the 2011 and 2014 NEC versions weren't entirely compatible with the other signaling. Not that the GG1 has actual safety systems beyond showing in-cab signals (based on speed I guess, due to slightly mismatching).
Patch notes says: "The FPS limit now defaults to 60fps (as opposed to 30fps). This limit is now enforced during menus and pause screens in all cases (no matter what command line option is used) to reduce uncapped frame rates and excessive CPU usage whilst browsing the menus, especially with some Ryzen CPUs." Thank you for fixing this, you guys were literally cooking my 7800x3D . The temporary Windows power plan solution worked at least.
Service Approaching dialogues: I was testing a scenario I setup a while ago on the Fife Circle route and now every time another train is nearby I'm seeing a dialogue showing what the passing train service is setup as. I've never seen this before so assume it's a new thing. Is there a way to turn that off without removing the entire HUD?
I had exactly the same thing a few weeks ago playing a workshop scenario. Never seen it before but no, don't know how you would turn it off. This was in top right of screen.
Normally it occurs in free roam. It could, theoretically, be added to Timetabled, at least until player train is taken. Some authors may use this scenario type to allow jumping services, but for me in the past the cause was the workshop extractor - it doesn't just extract garbage title but also randomly changes other values. I've documented scenarios to be different season or weather than what they were advertised as, and I also remember some scenarios defaulting to free roam.
You can't, at least in the game's settings. It's either a glitch in the game itself (I haven't installed the update yet so I haven't checked) or a problem with the scenario itself.
It was a problem with that particular 'WS' scenario, as I said I have never come across it before on any other route or scenario!
Yeah. The only real thing about Reppo that peeves me, though, is that he doesn't even include a No Crew variant of his locomotives.
I don't think your changes to the headlight flare are necessary, which makes the game weird (the headlight flare disappears when the distance gets farther away)
From Train Simulator Classic 2024 Patch Notes - 21st May 2024, I think there is a high probability that the problem is caused by this.
Thanks, seems a bit short though. I have been following the betas and think the changelog should be aot longer.
Changelog was in the announcements forum as usual. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...741.1242967069.1717045877-46895416.1659743440
