I looked for this on the other Forums but I did not spot anything https://live.dovetailgames.com/live...article/train-simulator-classic-join-the-beta Peter
I wonder if Armstrong powerhouse will be annoyed about the new 3d lighting and sky update? It was TSW 4 I would try it out but classic I have so many downloads from ATS, AP, Just Trains then add on all the skins its a nightmare to reinstall everything, takes forever I do not know if I would want to try it encase it broke it and I had to re-install everything all over again.
Here here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/forums/public-beta.191/ Which is a child of TSC, same as General Discussion or Creative Center.
It is now on the Steam landing page and I've installed the beta without problems. It is only the Silver Lining cloud rendering system, and now clouds drift through the sky as some default weather patterns perhaps have been given wind? It's only a cosmetics upgrade, we must wish for DTG to invest in real core improvements to TSC given TSW is so development intensive.
To varying extent. Core enhancements in the plugin itself might result in a different look even with the same settings, for starters. The changes only apply to scenarios where the 3D weather is used - meaning stuff from around 2014 onwards, even then it's random. Also, someone mentioned that the B&O route has its own presets. Quick drive scenarios are generated using 3D weather on all routes - it's a global choice. Some routes are not prepared, though. The whole argument is very similar to 2D weather - it clearly improved over the years, or maybe I just know better choices, it's warmer, often more colorful. However, the clouds are sometimes route specific (e.g. Koblenz-Trier) so those remain the same.
probably not they will come up with some excuse to charge users for another new version lol joking aside. I doubt it will be to much of a headache for Richard to sort out giving the depths he went into the original.
Just make a back up of your Railworks folder, then if you need to restore, just opt out of the beta, and then copy your original install back.
Unlikely, as from what I've seen so far, it's nothing to write home about compared to SWEP2.0 and cloud pack, and if the AP packs need an update, they will be updated. It's not like AP are shy with coming out with updates
That's not a joke though, that's soapboxing, you complain about Cyclone continuously regarding paying for xyz yet nearly every opportunity you get you "joke" about APs pricing and things they'll charge for next. Pot and kettle mate..
