Good morning, I recently became interested in trains. I bought train simulator classic. I see that there are several versions and what happens is that when I download add-ons, some don't work, you don't even see them. My questions, are the Train Simulator add-ons, depending on the version, not compatible? What to do to make them work? Thancks
Broadly speaking, they should all be compatible across Train Simulator Classic versions, from 2007 all the way until now. There can be issues with certain ones, due to some fault that wasn't rectified along changes to which mistakes the game tolerates. Some are binary, others merely silly. However, there is another game by Dovetail called Train Sim World and there were a few editions (2020, 2021, give or take) which have slightly overlapping names. Not to mention simulators by other developers Generally, unless you are about to have an aha moment, always be as specific as you can. Which add-on doesn't work for you? Can you provide a link, screenshot or somesuch? Some content is available for multiple games. If you sort of messed up and have add-ons for multiple games, general wisdom says you should be able to acquire the missing core games during sales. Unfortunately with Train Sim World, some add-ons are only supplied for older versions which are not for sale anymore (due to not receiving updates). In which case you could try and appeal.
