Impressive work there Dunc.
I have this game it just looks so bad. only play tsw2 now
Thank you for your valued and constructive criticism.
Oh dear... I'm speechless...
Never feed the trolls
Maybe he just needs to crawl back under his rock and never venture onto this forum again???
Sure... it looks terrible.
I have both TS21 and TSW2 and both of them have there pluses and minuses, but I still enjoy them both.
Good for you! meantime I'll keep enjoying TS20xx.
He's probably running it on minimum settings.... on a potato.
Crikey, 30,000 views! For a Train Simulator forum thread! Happy Saturday dudes
Half of those views will be me checking on whether your tamper is ready for release yet...!!!
Yeah but I bet he's got the super-duper one.
Ha ha ha... That's just pure quality...!!!
Control desk and gauges textured
Nice... what's the bendy looking thing like a microphone Dunc???
Uhh.... A microphone..
Is that so the crew can have a karaoke session during possessions???
It is a mic, there's two in cab 2 also
Naah it's a bent screwdriver!
And here's the view from the 2nd man's seat...
Can you tow your track machine in consist?
I'll make sure that you can by the time it ships Peter. The plan is to have a fully drivable tamper, an AI tamper (that tamps) and a dummy that you can drag along.
So close to the finish line now, just cab 2 to tidy up some more and a couple of sounds to add, then even more testing.
The amount of scripting I've had to write to get it to do everything you'd expect was way more than I anticipated, but hopefully worth the effort.
Just a little rainy day shot while I beaver away at cab no.2...
Come on Dunc...
You're killing me with the suspense...!!!
That would be because it's a tamper with WAYYYYY more features than on a normal loco...!!!
Getting there with cab 2...
Cab 2 drivers view...
That's all for today
Happy Friday dudes, here's 10 screens of a tidy DR73106... it'll soon be with you
Very nicely done Dunc.
What an amazing piece of work, it looks absolutely stunning. I Just neeeeeeed it now.
Well done, you must be extremely proud of your efforts.
Thanks guys, really getting there now.
I had no idea it would take so much time and effort to produce something like this - cannot wait to bring it to you!
Cracking job Dunc... DTG need to call you now...!!!
Yeah, I'm sold, not much more I can say than that really..
31,000 views, nice Onto finishing up on the Tamper audio now, not much left to do just a few bits I'd like to make more seamless. Other highlights of the bank holiday weekend include getting the drivers control desk lights fully working in relation to their corresponding switches and installing a nice looking AWS sunflower.
Time well spent. Now I think it's time for a pint of Guinness or two
Just a few cab shots at dusk today...
Didn't even 3D model the keyboard, pahh rubbish, amateur mod at best..
(Well you must be sick of all the praise by now so only negative comments from me from now on.. Now where's that downvote button...)
Haha, she's currently sitting at about 460,000 polys... gotta make some savings wherever possible! The PC on the left hand side of the cab does boot up to desktop as of today though
Also, hold my beer
Inspect dem keys buddy
great.. Finally found something to pick fault with and you go and bleedin' fix it...
You'll never get a job with DTG at this rate..
Dunc... in the 2nd piccy with the 2 monitors, do the monitors actually work (I'm sure you know what I'm on about...)
I knew someone was gonna ask this as soon as I saw the picture..
PIP ("Picture In Picture" which is what you'd need for this to work) is not a thing in the TS engine unfortunately
You never know... Dunc may have secretly pulled a miracle off...!!!
Sure would be a miracle (and quite probably illegal) because he'd have to reverse engineer and then re-write the base game engine.. Unless of course the ability to PiP is already there but unutilised, can you imagine this engine doing three image draws instead of only one, 0.05 fps anyone?
No rule breaking, but I wouldn't want to disappoint... the devil is in the detail
It's not flawless, but it's as good as you're going to get within the confines of the TS engine (and a damn sight better than a static image on the vdu's), now, after pulling off that stunt it's time to hit the hay, I can hear the first birds chirping outside!
Ahh I see what you've done Dunc, nice one.
Some really trick logic and maths were required to pull that off thanks to the variable framerate.
Late night special...
Still more to do
Nicely done Dunc, sorry if this has been asked before? But will Ai be able to tamp?
