    Introduction:
Happy new year all, and welcome back to the March edition of the Creator's Club Roadmap, I'm TrainGeek08, and today I am going to announce what mods I'm releasing over the next month from a variety of different routes around the world :).

Before we get into everything, I did say at the end of the last Roadmap that the Roadmap itself will be having an uplift going into the new year.

Here's the changes to the Roadmap for 2026:

    • Mods are grouped by content type and will make the month it releases in easier to find,
    • Two development insights instead of one (one livery + one scenario per month),
    • 'Side Projects' will be following suit by being grouped per content type.

Let's get onto it, shall we?

    January's 'Development Insights':

As discussed earlier, I'm now going to do two monthly development insights (into one scenario and one livery) I release within the current month (e.g. January for this one) whether they have released or not to explain what goes on behind-the-scenes ;).

    This Month's Case Studies: (TG08) Strathclyde 3-Car (101) + (TG08) Hyperorange (323)

We chat to the OP of this thread, TrainGeek08, to firstly talk about the livery (below) '(TG08) Strathclyde 3-Car (101)', that released earlier today.

This is your first livery of 2026, how well did you do on it?

TrainGeek08: "I think I did a pretty solid job on this one, considering that I hadn't touched Livery Designer since I made 387105 back in early December (yes, I batch-produced my December content... and have done so for my January content too due to other commitments outside of TSW), so I've done well. I took my time, and made sure that it was as good as it could be."

I know it released today, but how well do you think the community will enjoy it?
TG08: "To be honest, I think it will have a slow start because it is the start of the year, but I'll know whether it takes off as the year goes on. It might do so, it might not."

How long did the livery take to make?
TG08: "This livery took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to make. This is a fairly decent amount of time spent on this one. It could've been longer had I did the branding, but either way, I'm still happy with the end result."

Were there any challenges during the creation of the livery?
TG08: "Yes there were. Notice the absence of branding? That was a challenge in itself whether I decide to do branding or not. There was so many elements of the Strathclyde Transport logo I had to get right, including making the outline look 3D. Currently, that it something that I'd find difficult, so I decided (wisely) to do it unbranded."

Why did you do a 3-car variant of a livery you have already done previously?

TG08: "You've said it yourself. 3-car. Not 2-car... 3-car. Hence, it is a different livery, meaning I can create it."

That's two years in a row with a Scottish-themed livery being the first of the year, will it be the case in 2027?

TG08: "You'd think it is a deliberate ploy because of me hailing from Scotland, but trust me, it isn't. It is just by chance that this has happened, so god knows what the first livery release in 2027 will be, and whether it is related to Scotland or not."

We then ask TrainGeek08 to discuss the scenario (below) '(TG08) Hyperorange (323)', that will release next week.

How well do you think this scenario will do on CC?

TrainGeek08: "I think it will do well. I think people will enjoy the different weather on show in comparison to my scenarios last year, and I'll get onto why shortly."

How long does the scenario play for?
TG08: "Hyperorange plays for 45 minutes. That duration is a good enough duration for a scenario, plus with the weather conditions I have set for this scenario, it allows you to see the subtle transition from sunset to dusk."

Can you explain the weather in this scenario?
TG08: "So, this scenario is set at sunset on a late winters afternoon with snow on the ground having fallen earlier that day. I have decided to use Custom Weather in my scenarios (I used to) instead of Dynamic Weather as it gives me more freedom to decide what weather conditions I can select, and it makes my scenarios more varied than they already were. I hope you all enjoy this change!"

What year is the scenario set in?
TG08: "This scenario is set last year (in 2025). This was around the time when Northern had acquired some 323s from West Midlands Railway, but hadn't fully reliveried them into their house colours yet. There were a few examples in debranded WMR livery, as per the player train in Hyperorange."

Did you enjoy making the scenario?

TG08: "You should know the answer by now... it's always the same. I'm a scenario guy; always have been, always will be. Doesn't mean that I like to make the odd livery though ;)."

Anything surprise you about this scenario?

TG08: "Yes. Since I am using the Manchester Airport Commuter version of the Class 323 in this scenario, obviously it has onboard announcements. However, I hadn't expected them to work on the Glossop Line, as announcements aren't supported on that route (to my knowledge). To my amazement, they fully work when approaching stops, which really surprised me. Very immersive though."

Thanks to TrainGeek08 for taking the time to answer those burning questions for us :).

    Conclusion:
This is how the Roadmaps are going to look from here on in. Any feedback you do have on the new format will be appreciated!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this one, put your thoughts below as ever . From me, TrainGeek08, I'll see you soon for another CC release announcement, enjoy the rest of your day and goodbye ;).
