First, I shouldn't have bought tsw 5 on ps5 as it's quite terrible but since I bought the $120 special edition, I'm just not willing to pay that again, lesson learned. I am going through the training modules and there are some that I just can't complete even when I follow everything the instructor says. I will do my best to post them every time one comes up. 1. Changing ends -cab cars, I'm good up to moving and stopping the first time then after stopping, it puts an extra stopping location 125m away, don't know why I had to stop in the 1st place so I started up again and drove the extra 125m (central depot track Y) Then it asks me to shut down the cab, I follow the instructions I then exit the cab, walk to the other cab and follow the start up instructions, when I apply power nothing happens and I just sit there not moving, I do notice that when I press the train brake leaver to release, it springs back to running, no matter what I do, I don't move. This the 4th time doing this training modules and I am not doing it again. This is the 3rd training module like this and I'm not too happy especially since I paid all this money for it. Any help will be most welcome
More information would be helpful, you haven't mentioned the loco or the train in question at all. Just out of interest, do you close the doors behind you?

OK, training module practice going between cabs, BR 146.2 did everything as requested by narration and still not moving after walking down to other end of cab. Checked all doors are closed and followed EVERYTHING i was told to do, still no movement.
There are several copies of this locomotive and each copy has its own tutorial, which route is the 146.2 and it's tutorial from? I guess there is a tiny but important step missing in the tutorial (wouldn't be the first time) that won't let you complete it. As soon as I know which route the 146.2 belongs to, I'll take a look at it.
The 146.2 scenario has a bug. It's nothing you are doing wrong. Try this : In the cab car, when it says to release the brakes. Instead put them into full service. Then after a couple of seconds release them. It should then let you apply power. (I did this on PC, but I think it works on PS5 as well - I'll try when I get home). I think that whichever end is not being used, then the brake should be set to Full Service. When you get to the cab car, it's already released and that is wrong it should be in Full Service and you should be able to release it. Pretty bad that a tutorial doesn't work.
I gave that a try and it worked perfect, not to impressed with game up to now. Thanks for saving my bacon.
So another one, The basics of operating a steam locomotive Stanier Class 8F, again, did everything I was instructed to do, came to a complete stop, closed everything off and I have been sitting here for a good 10 minutes. I will contact Dovetail about these tutorials as I am really unimpressed with the game on PS5 up to now. Any suggestions?
All 8F tutorials can be completed without any problems. You don't seem to have reached or paid attention to the task at the top left before the track ended, “Reach 30km/h or 18mph”. That's why it didn't switch to the next task. Or you simply forgot to set the switches and ran out of track.
I know I did reach the speed, not sure why it didn't register. It also told me to turn a switch which wasn't there on another tutorial
