    Dear locomotive engineers:
I asked more than a year ago for a Spanish official DLC so here i am again to ask the impossible...
i will not provide all the info cause i alredy made a post i will only post the most important stuff and expand of new locomotives
RENFE (National network of Spanish railroads)
was created in 1941 in middle of the ww2 but the idea went even before of Spanish civil war in 1936 there was private companies this ones have 2 problems: Old locomotives and infrastructure like railroads stations in very bad state in the Spanish civil war all was controled by the army on band or other after the war all of it 40% was all damaged and the rest needed to repair so the total control after the war was controlled by The Franco state who saw that the private companies where useless but renfe was not created yet...

    Old Renfe Office in Madrid

This building is even older build in 1980 was From the MZA company
Railroad Company of Madrid and Zaragoza That where deleted when RENFE was starting to unify them.
Since the Spanish civil war the really bad economic state of this private companies and the infrastructure RENFE unify all of it, after that they boosted this companies (deleted now) and the price was to high so from then 1941 to 2005.
RENFE needed to repair all of it but there was not enough components and they need to repair the war damages urgently, this lead to many bad accidents like the one happened in Torre del Bierzo where 100 people died and 111 injured worst accident in Spain. So the cost of this was 5000 millones de pesetas, meaning 30,5 millions of dollars, they also acquired 200 locomotives 5000 wagons and 400 passenger cars.

1918 Medic train transformed form passenger first class cars to medic transport.

In 1950 they recovered the system but very slowly the first Talgo class started to move, Trains where also modernized upgrades where focused in Madrid Barcelona line (the most used)
In 1962 Global Bank suggested to not expand lines upgrade and focus in what they had, RENFE just follow their instructions only 1 line survived to this and it was Madrid Burgos.
In 1964 they started a economic plan to upgrade lines and trains, allowing in 1967 trains to reach speeds of 140 KM/H
In early 1970 this economic plan was slowed, but finally they removed it and switched to a bigger number of plans from 1972 to 1975
In 23 July of 1975 the last spanish steam locomotive was turned e yeah off, also Francisco Franco died in the same year, after this RENFE want to implement many upgrades to make a efficient railroad system.
But in 1979 they realized that RENFE was unprofitable and inefficient and a giant deficit
They started to make commuter trains in Madrid Valencia Malaga Barcelona, they moved tons of passengers this trains where the jew of the crown of RENFE.
In 1982 situation was even worst whit bigger defficit and trains only moved on 5000 km on the 13000km build, teres too many unprofitable lines in 1 of January of 1985 they make a new program to close 914 KM this only can only go cargo on it in other 933 km many stations lines get out of order 12 lines and 132 stations all out of order many communities started to rescue more than 600km to avoid their closure.
They upgraded stations and infrastructure like Madrid Sevilla and Barcelona many odders get modernized like Atocha traffic where absorbed by Camartín Station and closed until they opened again in 1992 getting Atocha new high speed trains station.
This is what i like to call Old RENFE
their history continues from 1991 to 2005 But i will continue in another post Thanks for coming this far and hope this get to a game admin someday thanks for reading and learning about spanish history if u want any spanish topic i can cover it :)
