In tsw3 there should be engineers dotted around stations and around routes and you should give them a couple tones for extra action points. And same for trainspotters around a route who should maybe have a tripod and camera near them and again extra action points for giving the trainspotters tones.
This would improve the immersion due to both these things happening very regularly in real life.
Obviously this should be a toggelable thing in settings.

good idea, would like the same for whistle boards, Network rail workers and vans or orange people could also be dotted on routes rather than just stations

Great suggestion mate, would be nice to see some orange jackets on the routes. As I said elsewhere trainspotters or even just people who watch as you're train go past is another thing which happens regularly in real life, though giving a toot wouldn't get you any bonus points!

If they do introduce spotters I hope they aren’t animated to wave the cameras around in an odd way like those on Lime Street station in the Spirit of Steam Mastery reward. Hold your camera still and you might get a good shot mate!

I do wish the hi-vis wearing folk in the dioramas in Rush Hour routes had been carried on in subsequent routes but with the workers at the side of the track instead of just in stations. They just disappeared without trace in future releases though.

I've always thought that have some spotters toot them

I'd love to see some orange jackets outside of scenarios. Much more realistic having that and the train spotters idea is great!

Orange jackets are definitely needed. The yards and workshops feel so dead without them.

Definitely agree with the above, this would add some immersion to the game, especially the engineering part and DTG have proved already that they can do either :)

    Engineers:
Proven in the 'Cutting Closure' scenario on East Coastway and secondly some people can be seen with hi-vis on numerous platforms on Boston Sprinter so it is possible :)

    Trainspotters:
Proven with the Mastery reward on Spirit of Steam (era-appropriate of course but still) :)

I did a run on EDN last night and there is an orange jacket on the west side of Falkirk I think which I hadn't noticed before so I am not sure if he appears randomly on not. With where he is and the size of the 385 windows it does make him very difficult to see.
