Here's a few more from a very different trip to Europe. On this one, I had about a week and a half in Paris and Brussels - the first picture was taken from in Paris at the Champ du Mars - Tour Eiffel SNCF station, the second from Gare du Nord, and the last two from Bruxelles Nord.

On this side of the pond we don't call 'em trainspotting pictures... but this looks like the perfect place to needlessly plug my railfanning Youtube channel! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh_WpWDsSX_y1eHSpE9VMsQ?

As for still shots, I prefer to get video (which I guess is just a lot of pictures, but whatever), but I still have a few:

Empty military flats. These trains carry tanks and other stuff into Fort Bragg, a nearby military base. This one is leaving to... no idea actually... but it has just backed off of the Ft. Bragg branch into Milan Yard, waiting for permission to depart. This is a pretty nice leader for this kind of train, usually it's just a lone GE like the one trailing here. To the right, we see Milan Yard and a locomotive assigned to it at the time.

Bit of an artsy shot (or at least as close to one as I'm gonna get) with The Northbound Amtrak Carolinian, a plane, and an automobile at Selma Amtrak station. I don't think the Carolinian is actually moving in this picture, but I'm not entirely sure...

A standard cab SD70 on Norfolk Southern train E25 switches the Old Yard in Fayetteville, NC. This picture was taken a while ago, and it shows- the lead locomotive, already a bit of a rare visitor and a welcome break from the pair of Dash 9's that usually get assigned this job, no longer exists- now, it has been rebuilt into SD70ACC 1820, complete with AC traction, a new cab, and a bunch of other small upgrades and fancy modern bits. This thing had an amazing horn that sadly I managed to carefully accidentally avoid getting on video. Oh well, at least I saw it.

This unit autorack train was rerouted through Hamlet, NC, where it was stopped for a crew change. Actually couldn't stay to see it leave, I had to leave myself. Even less fortunately, this whole trip had some other great catches, but the video wouldn't stay in focus- everything kept getting blurry every time. There were some other great catches that day, too, but sometimes your camera just decides to be a complete jerk (or you leave the point to autofocus thingy on, which is actually what happened here, but let's blame it on the camera instead!).

An ex CSX ac6000 visits the s-line. At the time Norfolk Southern leased them and they were a common sight on daily trains. I actually caught it 3 days before Christmas. Not only did I catch this but the local crew let me have a tour of there es44dc. Screenshot_20190605-114936.png 20181218_143752.jpg I waited 2 hours on this train because I don't have my scanner programmed. Went through during late 2018 with a nice crew.
