What’s a good station to train-spot on on the southern west coast main line

 

It’s not a station but hest bank crossing frame very good has signal box you can stand and even sit in armchair the level crossing accessible plus you can climb steps up the blue bridge and look in either direction its 3.1 miles from Carnforth from Preston and as its on mainline busy crossing seeing freight and passenger runs

 

Harrow and Wealdstone is good, everything will pass through.
