So N3V Games dropped the trailer for their console release of Trainz and..... Apparently alot of AI generated stuff used for it. Also, why does this seem like a DTG style cover? Im not seeing this as a serious contender with TSW on the Xbox IMO.... Content included per the video is.... just saw this trailer myself ..i think it will be a welcome new item for console market ..even though i have these routes on PC versions of Trainz ,still want to give this a go on console ..hopefully they will add more routes and the large variety of engines the PC versions without dealing with 3rd party payware files there lots of good content that isnt available on steam store, i only purchase from there .
I spent hours and hours and hours route-building and reskinning in Trainz from Trainz 2007 up to 2010 (I'm even in the credits of Trainz Classics for helping out with the Harlem Line!), so it's very hard for me to wrap my head around Trainz being on console. I never played any of their "sessions" scenarios, and the driving outside of DCC mode never seemed that great. I tried picking up one of the current editions on a Steam sale about a year ago, but got pretty discouraged when I found out a good 2/3rds of my legacy content wouldn't work (at least without extensive modification). I wish them luck, and I'll keep my eye on it, but for now I'll stick with TSW on console.
At least with ps they share "exclusives" to other consoles, why Trainz couldn't do the same is just beyond me.
Not really we don't get Gran Tourismo or any of the Spiderman games on Xbox. We get MLB the Show now but thats only because MLB told them too or they would lose exclusivity.
Well while it’s good to see Trainz expanding, prepare for disappointment if you think it will be anywhere near as good an experience as TSW or TSC. The game still largely sits in its model railway origins from Trainz 1.0 and UTC back in 2002 - 3. We moan about TSW physics but the majority of stuff in Trainz is very simplified, last I checked they still don’t support vacuum brakes or stepped air braking. Many of the assets are ancient and rely on low res generic cabs and sounds which are aliased to old Auran content.
I'll bite. What 'exclusives' does PS share with other consoles apart from timed exclusives (such as Death Stranding which is Kojima and not PS studio)? Just askin'.
Only one I know of is MLB the Show. But MLB told Sony Studios if they wanted to keep the exclusive rights to them they would have to provide the game to all platforms starting in 2021. But from 2013 to 2021 only Playstation had an officially licensed MLB game.
With pleasure: Genshin Impact Final Fantasy Series Crash Bandicoot (2001 - Present) Spyro The Dragon (2018 - 2018) God Of War Spiderman Ghost Of Tsushima
Most of those aren't developed by sony studios. Almost nothing developed by sony makes it to xbox whereas a reasonable amount of games now do come to playstation despite being developed under Microsoft studios. Xbox is still waiting for: Every recent final fantasy release, Pacific drive, Stellar blade, Demons souls, Rise of the ronin and many more. If we were to talk about sony studios games, then pretty much nothing goes to other consoles. So I don't know why you think xbox currently prevents games from going over to PS constantly, quite obviously sony has been more invested in keeping the tit for tat exclusivity alive over anyone else (barring nintendo ofcourse).
Yikes... I am not having hopes for this. I mean, if they can make it work, good for them. But I personally am not too much of a fan of AI content.
I especially hate it when people mistake it for real images, and can't tell the difference, really gets me, ai needs to stop.
Thereis a new roadmap for Trainz with some news for Trainz on Xbox. https://roadmap.trainzsimulator.com/tabs/3-under-consideration
Interesting that they’re finally going to DX12; performance in Trainz 22 is as dreadful as most of the old content that still passes for payware DLC.
