Introduction Hello and welcome to another suggestion! I have recently finished a transpennine Express Livery for the class 395 in tsw and realised how great it would be to actually have TPE in the game. The Manchester Airport link is one of the busiest TPE routes and would be great to see and would also include a section of the WCML. The Route This route is a 132 mile route from Carlisle to Preston and Manchester Airport. This would include 3 operators and lots of layers. Avanti West Coast, Transpennine Express and Northern. It would include 1 recycled train and 3 new trains. This route is very scenic, with a mix of fast pace and commuter services and is an iconic route. The Trains Transpennine Express Class 397 Transpennine Express Class 802 Avanti West Coast Class 390 Northern Class 331 Layers: Class 66 shed Class 37 ROG europhenix Class 323 Manchester Piccadilly a.i Stations: Carlisle Penrith North Lakes Oxenholme Lake District Lancaster Preston Leyland Buckshaw Parkway Chorley Addington Horwich Parkway Lostock Bolton Salford Cresent Deansgate Manchester Oxford Road Manchester Piccadilly Manchester airport (Bold=TPE and Avanti Service Stops) (Regular=Northern Only Stops) Conclusion This route is very nice. Very scenic. It is a good way to introduce TPE to the game and could layer nicely onto other routes such as ecml, Edinburgh to Glasgow, etc... I would love to see this, hopefully you do to. Let me know your thoughts and feedback below. Thank you.
hopefully we get it, there is also a cab ride for a section of the route (Preston to Carlisle) on a TPE class 350:
I believe tpe withdrew their class 350's and replaced their services with Class 802's and Class 397's. The route would have to be set a good few years back for tpe to still have class 150's. Personally as much as I'd like a 350 I prefer the class 397's and class 802's.
Oops. Not sure where I got 79 miles from. That might be if going from Preston or smth. I'll update that.
Ik people will say the 397 is just another 80X but it's actually really cool and pretty different. Have you seen the size of the gangways???? THERE ABSOLUTELY HUGE!!!
