TP Express has been brought back into public ownership from the 28/5 due to poor performance. Hopefully this will make a modern day TransPennine route easier licensing wise. I'd love a Hope Valley Line
Me too. Or a Manchester to Cleethorpes via Sheffield and Doncaster. Only because Sheffield & Doncaster are where my interest in trains started. Probably too long to be fair, but it seems strange that neither Sheffield or Doncaster are currently in the game.
Manchester to Sheffield is the Hope Valley line and is a route ripe for inclusion IMO, its in the right ball park in terms of length and journey time with local trains in Northern, expresses from East Midlands & TPE and also freight services. For me its criminal if it doesnt get added to the roster sooner rather than later and now TPE is under DfT management the last stumbling block should be removed.
Hopefully the livery won’t change, I think it’s one of the better ones out there. Quite modern looking yet appropriate choice of colours without going overboard. I would like to see a 397, I think it would provide variety over the 395 and would have its differences should we see the 800 series trains, though I’ve read only 12 were built so I’m not sure how well they would workout in TSW. should we also ever get a “create your own timetable mode” I’ve always wanted to modernise NTP and see it fictionally busy at Leeds station, and NTP trains would seem the most appropriate to do so.
Given that Northern livery hasn't changed since it was taken over by the operator of last resort, I would imagine TPE would follow this pattern also.
