The first railway in the Kingdom of Romania opened in 1869 and linked Bucharest and Giurgiu. The first railway on current Romanian territory opened in 1854, between Oraviţa and Baziaş in Banat, however that region was under the administration of the Austrian Empire at the time, and became part of Romania after WWI right next to the border with Serbia.

    Map of Romania's railway network
Since then, the Romanian railway network has been significantly expanded, and is now the fourth largest in Europe by total track length, comprising 22,298 km (13,855 mi). Of these, some 8,585 km are electrified. The route length is 10,788 km. Romania's railway system is inadequately-connected and one of the least durable railway systems globally.

Romania is a member of the International Union of Railways (UIC). The UIC Country Code for Romania is 53. Transylvania own one of the most unique railways due to the tunnels, bridges, sharp curves and we do operate some DB locomotives already here so there s no problem with the license, let me know if you do like the ideea folks and please vote to support this ideea

Oh, this would be great, to have a Romanian route on TSW. From the Carpathian Mountains to the Danube Delta, there's plenty of breath-taking scenery out there to explore. Plus, the Romanian rail network has its own distinct characteristics and challenges, which could provide an engaging gameplay experience for train enthusiasts. Adding such a route could definitely enhance the variety and appeal of Train Sim World for players interested in exploring different railway environments around the world. Something must be done, and I'm just looking forward to it!
